Around the NFL: News and Rumors

i think mayfield is the best qb in this draft and id choose him over all of them. Still, baker reminds me of johnny. Last time i listened to anyones take on qbs here... 90% of them said ryan mallet>kapernick which blew my fking mind.. however, i agree with you input on johnny scrambling with his head down and baker does not.

you'll know that i was not one of them - i didnt want kaepernick for financial reasons not because he wasnt better than mallett
i just dont see any real comparison tbh between mayfield and manziel

and for some reference atm - mayfield is qb 4 for me right now

yea i know you werent one of them! I usually read everything you have to say cause youre not biased. I like mayfield too and i dnt want browns to get him nor saqoun

I was for keeping Mallett instead of Kaepernick because I knew Kaepernick is good but not as good as everyone thinks. Also Mallet would come a lot cheaper. I just never saw it worth the investment in Kaepernick for how much he would cost.

AJ McCarron has just won his grievance - he will become a free agent - another stone falls into place for the offseason free agent period

Broncos are expected to have interest and make a run at bringing McCarron in.
Now this is interesting, I had th Broncos making a big run at Cousins. It thst it won’t happen, but that could eliminate a good team for him. The Vikings could also be a very good option for him.

I think as much as us, the Bengals would rather him go to the NFC. I think the Cardinals would be a good fit for McCarron too. I think Cousins ends up with the Jets.

That’s very possible. I’d like to see him end up with an NFC team so he can pummel the skins every time he plays them.

Giants trade Eli to the Jaguars, sign Kirk Cousins so he can pummel the skins twice a year lol. I just say the Jets because they have a lot of cap room as it is, and even more after releasing Mo Wilkerson. I guess when it comes to McCarron we can't forget about the Browns either, wonder how many hugs they will have to give him to sign him.

I think mccarron to the broncos still leaves room for them to take a 1st round qb too which inevitably helps the ravens - I think Kirk Cousins is still the biggest wild card in terms of drafting qbs high - as I see it there are still 5 and maybe 6 qb needy teams ahead of the ravens but Cousins is the only available veteran qb who negates the need to get one in the draft

If Cleveland gets Cousins that is a problem.
Suppose, for example they end up with Barkley and Chubb .....

They go Barkley, but then probably our worry becomes dealing with Minkah Fitzpatrick in their secondary. That's why I'm hoping no QB decides to go there so they lose another top prospect in order to once again spin the QB Carousel.

This is interesting, the 5 cities that are finalizists to host the 2019 & 2020 NFL Draft.

Five finalists to host 2019 or 2020 NFL Draft: Cleveland/Canton, Tennessee, Kansas City, Denver, and Las Vegas. Winners expected to be announced at May spring meeting.

I think Cleveland/Canton will most likely get 2019 to celebrate the League's 100th Season and I can see Vegas getting the 2020 Draft since the Raiders' Vegas stadium is to be completed by June 2020. So it would match up with the Raiders' first season in Las Vegas.
