BREAKING: #Chiefs trading CB Marcus Peters to the #Rams.

Chiefs are expected to trade CB Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, sources tell ESPN. Teams are in final stages of talks and barring an unexpected snag, the trade is expected to be agreed to as early as today.

i wonder what compensation went the other way... - chiefs are dumping hella salary with the smith and peters trade - maybe going large in free agency to help out their young qb maybe?

so looks like the 49ers and Browns were the other teams interested in the Peters trade
this also means Trumaine Johnson is gonna be hitting free agency for sure

Important note on the trade: rams dont have a 2nd round pick so this is potentially a huge trade or a very reasonable one - i have a feeling this is gonna be a 3rd round pick

Jeez -
Marcus Peters with Wade Phillips on the Rams with Donald in qb's faces is gonna turn into a pickathon.

scary to think about

At one point, the Chiefs were pushing to trade for DE Robert Quinn, along with a draft pick. But sounds like now it’ll be just draft picks going over to KC for Marcus Peters.

It doesn't surprize me. Remember Tyrod had a great 1st yr with the Bills and we didn't get jackshit. Contracts must be really big in the formula.

Tyrods contract made sense for us not to get it

Wagner had a 1mill per year average over Jefferson but they counted the same for some reason

turns out i was wrong - jefferson didnt net the cardinals a 3rd he netted them a 4th (calais campbell was their 3rd) - which makes this seem even crazier that somehow rick wagner did not net a 3rd round pick...

The Rams have had to give up their first round pick in this year's draft. No way the Chiefs did this for only a third and mid round picks.

The NFL has finally caught up to the madness of our forum mock.

Trades were expected - we've already seen them start... this should be a fun offseason (maybe not as a ravens fan but as an nfl fan certainly)

This might get the NFL to move up the start of free agency if things continue to happen before March 14th.

Jaguars are apparently exploring their options at QB. If Bortles passes a physical, the Jaguars can shed his entire $19M salary to make a run at a quarterback. Oh boy... If that's the case then I can see the Cousins sweepstakes being between the Jags and the Jets.
