It's sad Ozzie has never really been able to have a lot of salary cap to work with. Would have been fun seeimg The Wizard of Oz with the cap space Cleveland, Minnesota and San Fran has.

The bolded statement defines our season. I guess what I'm getting at is that the legal tampering period hasn't even begun. I would've LOVED Landry, but I wanted them draft picks (before I knew what the Dolphins gave up). Now, if our offense hasn't been addressed by late May-early June, then it's RED ALERT and time to raise the alarm.

I knew we weren't getting him a long time ago. I just hope productive moves are made for wrs.

I don’t think anything’s really changed - everyone in that building readily admits we need to completely reconstruct our receiving corps and they know it likely defines the end of Ozzie’s legacy because it almost certainly determines whether Ozzie goes out with the ravens back in the playoffs or whether he goes out with a whimper and Eric decostas first act will have to be to wipe the slate clean with an early draft pick...

So unless we go all-wr at the draft there’s no way we leave free agency without a couple of receivers tbh
 
Buffalo did add another pick through the Tyrod trade, I'm curious if the rumor of them talking to the Giants about a blockbuster trade to move to 2 for Rosen will happen and they needed another pick to be involved.

The value difference is way too disparate for that pick to make a difference I imagine they’ll have to give up both 1sts this year and probably a 2nd too as well as a future 1st round pick too

The 3rd they get for Tyrod is probably just to make sure they still have some picks this year tbh

In terms of the trade value charts even if the bills gave up both 1sts, both 2nds and the 3rd they just acquired they would still be under the base value for that pick - and that’s not even mentioning the inflation that comes with a pick that high as well as the competition for the pick driving up prices...

When it comes time for OBJ to get paid, I can already see a headline saying something to the extent of "some officials within Giants are hesitant to give OBJ his payday" or something similar when the Steelers were "hesitant" to giving AB his pay raise (LOL at that drama).

I have thought the Bills would want to trade into the top 10 to get their QB of the future, as have many in the media and on this board.

You may have a point. This extra pick gives them more ammunition.

I mean in terms of value it doesn’t really add much compared to the value of the pick you expect them to trade up to - my guess is that it’s more insurance - it’s a pick they’ll make while giving up a lot of the picks before it
