Around the NFL: News and Rumors

but everyone knows they are still drafting a qb right?
coz if they dont then they are imbeciles... so its either a seethrough smokescreen or other teams will be happy with the truth...

theres no other way this would potentially help them
They might like next year's QB better than these guys, who knows?

I'm not too sure exactly what question was asked of Hue, but I'm not too sure what he can say without throwing his new FA acquisition under the bus. The draft hasn't happened yet, so as of today Tyrod's still their guy. Rosen might get caught in a heroin ring bust and Darnold might post a video on Twitter of himself doing a bong on the day Mayfield tears all four cruciate ligaments in his knee during a workout and they may simply think Allen's a bust waiting to happen (I'd agree with them but I digress) - at which point I don't imagine Tyrod would be too cheery to have heard his coach say publicly that he has no serious part in their rebuild plans as well as not being a good look for the franchise in general.

I just wonder whether Tyrod was really their choice or other FA quarterbacks forced the decision by not wanting to go to Cleveland.
I mean obviously Kirk was everyone’s first choice. But after that it’s all question marks. Keenum had one good season, can he replicate it? Bradford shouldn’t even be in the league anymore with his knees. Teddy has upside but who knows if he can ever reach it. Those are the only 3, besides Brees, that anyone could argue taking over Tyrod.

Obviously I’m biased towards him, but if he’s actually put in a position to succeed, he can be a good QB. He could very well be their future. He was in no way ever put in a position to succeed in Buffalo and this year had very little help on offense and still led the Bills to he playoffs.

At worst he can be a good game manager, and at best, who knows. I wish he would’ve went somewhere other than the Browns, he’d have a better chance of proving his haters wrong. But I think it was a solid move picking him up.

Bashaud Breeland fails Panthers physical voiding his 3 year $24M deal.

Yeah ok, Panthers totally had cold feet about paying him $8M a year. They just wanted to find a way out of the deal... Right??? Or does that narrative only apply to us?
