Yeah idk. This WR corps is such a waste though. Idk how Isabella is in STs but Tylan Wallace has like 4 snaps in the last 4 games. How could Isabella be worse? I keep saying the WRs we have are AWFUL. So at least put something unique out there. You have no size, Victor will be bad like Proche and Wallace but he'll at least be bigger. Everyone is slow throw DJax or Isabella out there. DJax has something left, Isabella idk but at least he'll be bad and fast.

No other playoff contender has a situation as bad as ours. We have to try something.

Outside of some drop passes, missed throws, and some receivers just not being featured like that especially Devin Duvernay what exactly makes this wide receiver group currently awful?

I get it. We have a shitty unit. But I just don't see how Edwards is anything more than rearranging deck chairs at this point. And even further, by time you get someone in and let him learn the offense, it's basically playoff time. Not like we're at a point where someone just comes in and makes an impact. It's a longer process than that.
Agreed with its getting to be too late. Which is why I'm thinking it might not be as big an indictment on him compared to if this was right before the season like DRob.

Makes the OBJ situation even if he did come here getting to be dumb at this point. He has to learn the fucking offense if you want him to be successful.

I mean I still think it's an indictment. If the Ravens thought he was a better option, they'd have claimed him and dealt with it. But the fact they didn't shows that they don't think much of him, or at least not more than a Victor, Isabella, etc. type of guy.

I'm not trying to be rude. Are you trolling?

Duvernay has 344 yards and 3 TDs
DRob has 297 yards and 1 TD
Bateman has 285 yards and 2 TDs
Proche has 53 yards and 0 TDs
Wallace has 21 yards and 0 TDs

Bateman is out for the year. Wallace has 4 snaps in the last 4 games. Proche actually only negatively impacts plays when he's on the field. Duvernay has been playing extreme amounts of snaps and has been a literal ghost for weeks. He's not even being targeted. DRob looks like an NFL player but has dropped some critical balls.

There's also quantitative separation statistics that demonstrate this is the worst corps in the league lol

This is among the worst WR corps in the history of the franchise.

Was coming here to say similarly. Isabelka is no star by any stretch of the imagination, but how can he be worse than Proche/Wallace? If he has one catch every 3rd game, he will be an improvement FFS!

At least Isabella looked goid against our 3rd string defense in the preseason game. I am not implying that translates to a real game, but that merit is more than Proche can show.

Also, our current guys have had their shot in 11 games, try someone else. 1 catch pet game from our 3rd WR would be a giant leap for mankind

We can have jerry rice and to, lamar still gonna make the same mistakes.. we wont see a difference till lamar elevates his game…. Or we get an oc/hc thats a qb guru and help lamar with his flaws outside of his accuracy issues.

Getting Jerry Rice would not matter because we would not send him out on slants. He would just run deep and turn around and stand next to another Raven receiver lmfao

Isabella is a severely limited player. He's fast but that's about it. Can't catch consistently. Can't get off of press to save his life. Basically a slot receiver only at this point. Never really developed any nuance in his game and that's why he is where he is at this point.

Considering that we don't even attempt to use Wallace and Proche in any meaningful way, we have no way of knowing.

I thought I wrote twice in the post you replied to that I do not believe he's any good

But what good is Proche?

That's what I keep saying. If everyone is bad, put out the guys who have one elite trait. Hopefully that helps you get one positive play a game. Tylan will get you legitimately nothing

I’m giving you the reasons why he’s a worse option than the current ones. Not saying Proche is anything worth while either but he has more value than Isabella.

Then why does Isabella deserve a shot over Proche if they're both 0s? Does not compute
I'd qoute Einstein here about doing the same thing and expecting different results.
Or.. just throw shit against the wall until something sticks. The shit we already thrown there 11 times without sticking isn't going to

So like all of our wrs

This WR discussion and desperation is quite funny.

Why is there even an argument about Wallace, Proche, Isabella, Edwards? One over the other makes zero difference in our "passing game". You know who would make a difference? Justin Jefferson but only a little difference. Roman sucks.
100% agree, especially with the final two words.

I just really wanted to get a in depth answer on why we considered the wide receiver group the worst corps in the league. In my opinion I think the receivers The Ravens have now is something The Ravens can make due with. I think Duvenay, Robinson, Proche, and Jackson can all contribute along with the tight ends. Now sure what's going on with Tylan Wallace but maybe he's need another year to get settled in.

By this logic, why don't you just trot you out there at WR?

If the guys on the PS aren't outplaying the guys ahead of them, they're not going to play. It's not complicated.

You'll say "they can't be any worse", and then I'll say "they can't be any better". And we're in the same spot.

That's not the definition of insanity. That's the definition of fans not being good at talent evaluations.

I mean I agree you can make due against inferior talent. See the Jags game. I sure hope we never see a drop fest like that ever again. This roster can beat bad teams. I can tell you from my opinion that I'm very confident that actually good defenses with pass rushes and real secondaries will beat the living fuck out of this offense.

As a funny note Tyreek, Jefferson, Diggs, and Davante Adams all have more yards than our entire WR corps combined. Waddle is just a few yards short.
