Signings, Cuts, Trades

Probably mostly emotion right now, but they just spent a fuck ton of money and were planning on multiple first round picks, and now that plan is out the window with a trade piece that just diminished in value
Any idea what the next step is for us? I thought it was weird when you mentioned Hendrickson.

I’m not in love with it. The knee injury is a bit surprising. Has anyone ever been traded again to the same team after something like this? Lol could we trade lesser picks for the guy with the injury?

I don’t see any other Maxx Crosby out there.

Fuck them if they really didn't disclose everything

Greenard still available

This mf can't keep getting away with this

So Harbaugh is basically planning to do the same run first type of scheme in New York that he had here in Baltimore. He'll probably still forget about Cam Skattebo in the 4th quarter and it will be the same old story with Harbaugh. As for us, our new OC doesn't use a Fullback so Ricard really lost his role he had with us the second we fired Harbaugh.

Obviously we have a lot of holes to fill, and honestly I have to think Lamar's extension was already factored in cap wise when we signed Crosby and decided not to match the ridiculous prices our players were getting. I know people want to pile on saying if Lamar got the deal done sooner, but you have to think they know the cap numbers based on extensions and know who they can afford and can't. This does allow Minter, Doyle and the rest of the coaching staff to get their own guys and build the team in their image with a lot of Harbaugh players gone and overpaid might I add. Obviously losing Crosby sucks but yeah if the Raiders did us dirty by not disclosing some stuff prior to the trade being agreed upon, yeah I can understand backing out of this deal. If what @Simba said was true, giving up two firsts for a guy who may not even be ready come week one is just not worth it.

I don't get the sense this deal is salvageable in any way

No idea what the plan is right now. I'm not sure they know internally. Bunch of guys had gone home for the day and they all went back this evening, so guess they're figuring it out now.

Well ESPN is making it seem like we were pretty scummy about his medical. Doesnt mean it is true. But it does mean we have to deal with that is the current perception.

The Ravens do not care what anyone else thinks but it seems a bulk of the league is not too thrilled with them currently

Does anyone remember the name of that WR Ozzie wildly overpaid for, from the Colts maybe, everyone went nuts and then he conveniently failed his physical and the deal collapsed?

The only reason I would think the Raiders would be pissed is if we failed him for an injury and then called to renegotiate based on the failure. It’s the only thing that makes any sense

My guy is working off limited info right now because well, it's a fucking whirlwind there too. But did say it was the knee that caused them to back out and didn't feel confident he was going to be ready for camp and maybe the start of the season, and they weren't comfortable losing their picks for that risk.
A lot of Raiders fans are saying that it was a big deal and that he should have been shut down far before he was.

Apparently he posted videos of himself playing basketball on Instagram and the knee looked rough.

ESPN is implying we were supposed to pass him no matter what

They're pissed because they now have a piece back that doesn't want to be there and they have a lot of agreed upon deals that were going to hit at 4pm tomorrow. There are ramifications for them too. Not saying it isn't deserved, but it's okay to act on emotion in my opinion. Things will settle eventually.
