Why give up more for Greenard? Hendrickson is the better player
Greenard 28… trey 31. Greenard a better run stopper and still will provide us with good pass rushing ability. In 3yrs greenard will be the same age as trey is now.. in 3yrs i dnt expect to see trey on this team probably lol

I’ll take Trey and two 1st round picks for Maxx with his bad knee

Greenard is a good player but Trey clears and I don’t think it’s even a question

People gonna be mad at Trey because he’s not Maxx but to me he was by far the best FA available and people would have been thrilled to get him had this Maxx stuff never happened
I don’t know if I would’ve been thrilled to get Trey if we never had Crosby. I think I feel the same now as I would’ve then, which is that the move is good but it doesn’t excite me in a major way. He can rush the passer but he’s a tier below Croby, easily. He’s definitely better than what we have. I’m glad we have someone. I still think we need to draft an EDGE early and high because this is a good EDGE draft and I would now double dip at the position.

I don't think Trey Hendrickson is the right pivot from Crosby. It seems like chasing a name to placate the fans (and possibly the owner.)

The MacDonald/Minter defense depends on being able to stop the run with 4 and Trey can't help with that. Giving Minnesota the 2nd they wanted for Greenard would be a much better move. He's not the pass rusher Trey is but he's much better than we had last year.
So to clarify... I don't think Minter's D is focused on just stopping the run with 4. First off, you have run stuffers on the Dline anyway, and the ability to add plenty of them, as they're not hard to find.
Second, IF you're depending on a Dline to stop the run, then they should be immediately terminating Roquan's contract and take the cap savings.

2m/yr in contract value less than Crosby is not much

And obviously he’s older and coming off an injury as well

But having the picks back does make up some of the difference - albeit we now lose the linderbaum 3rd round comp pick

Only 60m fully guaranteed

2m/yr of the full deal is sack based incentives which is nice

20m signing bonus likely means we’re not stuck with him if it blows up
