I don’t understand going for Greenard now. I don’t see the value in it. I’d rather just sign Clowney or something to complement Hendrickson and have Green. Let’s trade Adissa Isaac to John Harbaugh since he loves our guys so much and he can pair him with Abdul Carter. I’d like to get youth at EDGE. Greenard isn’t a fit for me due to the draft pick compensation and he’s not cheap at 20M. Is he that much better than a Clowney?

5 years younger and probably a tier above Clowney imo. Greenard would cost significantly more but also would be a long term solution that neither Trey or Clowney would be.
 
This probably the least exciting free agency Ive seen in years . I love the ravens signing but I'm just saying in general league wide it doesn't appear that exciting compared to other years

I will say the whiplash from Sunday to now is severe…

where the optimistic reporting on the weekend was we could have Maxx, re-sign Linderbaum and extend Lamar…

Only to have maxx’s medical failed, linderbaum get 27m/yr from the raiders and Lamar have to be restructured

Yeah I hear you but we have Green who was a second round pick and this is a pretty good EDGE draft. I think we should double dip after missing out on what Crosby would do here. I don’t think Greenard is that guy to take over a game by himself. He’s more of a complementary piece imho.

Do you think Greenard is with a Day 2 pick? I don’t because I think you can get someone with similar upside as him in those rounds this year
 
Greenard is looking for a payday and exactly why the Vikings are looking to move him. While he’s really good, do we want the Ravens to be paying two guys like that?

It made sense to me for Maxx and Trey, because Maxx has that top 3 upside both as a pass rusher and against the run. I wouldn’t feel nearly as excited paying Trey and Greenard a combined $60mil/year.

Because it was an incredibly weak FA group overall. Not a lot of premiere players out there.
