Signings, Cuts, Trades

With the trade deadline less than a week away, if I had to hedge a bet on what position we hit if we make a move, I’m taking CB. All about giving Pepe the reigns at slot right now but the backup options are now Stephens, Seymour, and Armour-Davis. Think they’d jump at a chance to add better depth there if the price is right.
Maybe, but they're basically five deep at the moment, excluding Seymour. I think that'll have to do. If both Marlon and Peters were to miss significant time, we're fucked anyway, regardless of whether we add somebody.

If they're looking for additions, it'll be either at WR or pretty much anywhere in the front seven). They can obviously use any help at any linebacker position, and they wouldn't turn away help on the DLine either.

I don't get the hype. Every primetime game I'm seeing him with simple drops.

@Simba makes sense. Another cb wouldn't hurt.

It’s probably because he’s a childhood friend of Lamar’s. So it’s a feel good story. But his drops would irate me to no end

I get we down bad, but I don’t know why ravens flock want this dude, given his drop history.

Any idea what the NFL average is?

He's one of the best route runners and when you get the ball in his hands, he's as dynamic as they come. Problem is that it's hard to get the ball in his hands. He's one of the most inefficient WRs in the league from a statistical perspective. He's such a hard player to judge. I'm not particularly interested myself, but can still understand the appeal.

You know being targeted doesn't mean he's dropping them. I remember he's had a couple horrible games which was on him but this catching %'s aren't the only end all be all.

EDC is too stingy with picks to bring in Quinn, Chubb or Jeudy.
Well the draft pick comp isn't the problem with Quinn or Chubb (though Quinn likely much cheaper than Chubb). It's the very large cap hits we'd have to absorb and can't afford to do so.
Both players cost ~$8M the rest of the year to acquire, which we don't have any would have a ton of problems creating that much sapce.

IF Chubb gets traded, good chance whoever acquires him will probably have a long-term deal in place. Which also likely takes us off of him, because we really can't afford large contracts until Lamar's situation is resolved.

Jeudy I just don't think will be traded anyway. Really doesn't make sense for Denver to move him this year.

Only a 4th round pick?!?! Khalil Mack was traded for a 2nd this year and a 6th in 2023, now Quinn goes to Philly for just a 4th in 2023. WAKE UP ERIC!
I don't think that's cheap by any means. 32 year old pass rusher with escalating cap hits. It's essentially a half of a season rental.

We don't need an edge. Realistic positions I could see us going for are interior DL, rb, cb and wr. The first 2 highly doubt edc would address but should be looking out for the latter.

Apparently Chicago is eating a lot of the salary, which is why they were able to get a 4th.
But even so, Quinn's not really my type of rusher. His pressures and sack rates are all over the map.

Think he's a fine pass rusher in some sense but don't think he's drastically different from what we already have in Houston and JPP. Plus Bowser and Ojabo likely coming back soonish and then Oweh. About to be a crowded room there.
