We won't be able to sign #22 and Carr is as good as gone, I think. The only issue with Okudah - he won't be anywhere near our pick to get him.just what we need, can he rush the passer

yep, pretty sure neither would be signed. We will save 6m in cap for Carr and hopefully T. Young is healthy this year. I do expect them to draft a corner this year. The CB's in this draft are almost as deep as the WR class. We won't be able to sign #22 and Carr is as good as gone, I think. The Orioles have a series finale with the Brewers depending on how the MLB changes the schedule on September 13th. Meaning we would have to play on the road in week one or play in the opening east coast MNF game on the 14th. Only reason I bring this up is Leonard Fournette's tweet about having to play Calais in week one....
Do you or anyone else have any predictions or leaks or anything that could help me decide when to book a now extremely cheap flight to Baltimore lol
I think it would be incredibly stupid to let both Carr and Jimmy walk. I think they have every intention of keeping Carr, provided they can't resign Jimmy. We won't be able to sign #22 and Carr is as good as gone, I think. The only issue with Okudah - he won't be anywhere near our pick to get him.

You have very little depth if you let them both walk. One injury to either Marlon, Marcus or Tavon (who's already coming back from injury), and you're throwing in complete unknowns like Averett out there as a boundary corner or even a slot corner. Huge mistake in my eyes.
Only way you let Carr go is if you draft a Corner early in the draft (first or second round) or if you somehow think you can get a comparable player for cheaper, which seems far fetched given Carr's current price tag.
Aint no way in hell lol. Thats 50% of their offense whom so happens to play 95% of his snaps. Never seen the guy come out the game untill last seasonlol Peter Kings mentioned that teams believe DeAndre Hopkins is available per trade. This can't be true. O'Brien can't be that stupid.
Mostly disagree, just because I don't think you'll see us do much else in FA. I think the upgrades we will be looking for will be in the draft.Don't think you have too much of a choice at this point, at least temporarily. With our other needs, I can't see how they can possibly keep Carr on the books with a $6M savings sitting there. Pretty much have to decline that option, let him test the market, and maybe you bring him back at a lesser rate. Can't keep everyone you like and I think Carr is going to be that guy that they don't want to lose, but have to right now.
I wouldn't even consider Jimmy at this point. He's going to get paid more than we can afford.
I understand how you are feeling and it is a risk. That being said, even if he plays at 75% of his current level he's an incredible player.I really hope Campbell doesn't suddenly hit the decline now that he's with us. Him and Judon have taken up pretty much all the cap
I'm not feeling as good as I should as one would wtih a player of campbells ability but i really don't think we needed to get him. Hargraves and Lawson would have been a great two pick ups that would have done just as much and with more upside.
do we have anymore 5th round picks.lol Peter Kings mentioned that teams believe DeAndre Hopkins is available per trade. This can't be true. O'Brien can't be that stupid.

I think they went into this offseason fully expecting to keep pretty much everybody who's under contract that they wanted.
I wonder about a solid vet after cuts for a third of what Carr is making. If we re sign jimmy, I’d be fine with that being our entire activity in FA.
if we don’t re sign jimmy we better make a hell of a splash for a pass rusher and then get a cb early. Suddenly all those assholes we made fun of mocking us a DB would be right, but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna watch Anthony averett tank our season if one of our starters goes down.
trevon diggs if he could be had after a trade back would be a beautiful addition.
I actually think Jimmy is gone and we find a way to keep Carr. With his versatility and durability he is a huge asset for us if one of the CB or S go down. I'm already looking at Marcus Peters and Calais Campbell as free agent acquisitions even though they were through the draft. If we re sign jimmy, I’d be fine with that being our entire activity in FA.

Still a little concerned over Campbell being 34 at the start of the season. Its a bit of a gamble that might seriously pay off. We are counting on two years with similar productivity/health and paying a good bit for it. he's a bona fide pass rush and pressure borderline monster if he can maintain. And for that, the 27 over two years is cheap considering what pass rushers make in FA these days.
The other thing I need to watch is how he plays as part of odd fronts. How does he play the run specifically. Based on what Ive seen, he isn't asked to read and react/lock out and shed (I'm talking about the 2 or 3 series of one game I watched from 2016).
Still, Imagine a two man front and the pass rush we might generate with Campbell and a guy like Marlon Davidson.
