Signings, Cuts, Trades

Yeah jimmy’s gone - Bradley roby just got 13/yr - yes he’s 4 years younger and better at staying on the field but jimmys going to be in that range unless he takes a major hometown discount and even then he’d be a struggle to fit under the cap at this point
I personally think Jimmy would stay for around 9-10MM a year but what the Ravens are offering him to stay is substantially less than that perhaps 6-7MM. This is speculation for sure but based on all the articles I've read regarding why he is testing the free agent market.
I agree with you that he is more than likely gone. It'll be sad to see him in another uniform. I just hope it isn't the fucking Steelers seeing how they have a perennial need for CBs...

lol Peter Kings mentioned that teams believe DeAndre Hopkins is available per trade. This can't be true. O'Brien can't be that stupid.
Come on cdp. Don't get me all excited for nothing lol. Wonder what it would take to nab him

actually I think Jimmy gets around 9m / yr

But, O'Brien can be that stupid.... but there is no chance we can sign Hopkins with our cap situation.

Does that mean that the coaching staff and the front office believe Mekhari was the better Center? Or believe that he'll be the better Center?

Probably just taking the chance on the fact that Skura had a serious injury, may or may not be ready for the season, and would be a risk for teams to throw even decent money at. But teams also have money to blow, so it's a risk on our part as well.

My read on the Skura situation is that EDC believes Skura wouldn't sign any offers he would receive now while his value is extremely low. Skura is likely to get around 10mil/year if he hits the open market when healthy, I doubt he would (a) be offered a better short-term contract than the Ravens would match or (b) be willing to sign a lower pay, long-term deal.

Cooks could be traded

All of these tags are why I don't think trading Judon will be easy. So many options and I think at this point, all of them are trade possibilities. Ngakoue, Dupree, and Barrett all trade possibilities. Barrett probably the least of the 3, but not going to be an easy move regardless.

Then we just keep him. I was an advocate of trading him because I'm not his biggest fan, but getting Calais changed my tune. There's no way we get a 2 for him now. Only way I'd trade him is if we can get an impact player in return.

He's going to alienate Watson to the point that Watson will want out and play elsewhere for his second contract. I know he didn't want Watson too so.... seems he's rebuilding that whole team.

I’m getting comfortable with keeping Judon now, just because I’d rather add to the squad than break even for the same price, there’s a good chance we can upgrade from Judon, but it’s far from guaranteed, and if we fail to, then we fucked up.

only way I’d trade Judon is for a high end C, G, or WR.

waiting until the draft and hopefully getting a team to bite on Judon early in R2 would also be desirable. Get some poor bastard on the phone and offer Judon and a 4 to move into the 40s and get ourselves someone like Cesar Ruiz or Curtis weaver or maybe even a tee Higgins if his supposed fall gets that far.

Edit: I can’t believe the term for a child born out of wedlock is censored

Do the Texans need an OLB/DE? Trade Judon, a first and a third for Hopkins lol

we are talking about big D EDC. He ain't offering a 4 and Judon. Hell he may offer 2030 5th round pick and Judon.

I'd rather have Judon than any rookie. Judon is comfortable in this scheme and is imo a better player than. Weaver is or will be. Keep the guy who you know what your getting rather than taking a chance at a draft pick. Especially with our luck on 2nd rounders lately

That’s not taking into account the cap number though. That’s where the issue lies, you could Likely get the same or better production from a R2 pick for a fraction of the cost and spend elsewhere, and yeah we know what we’re getting with Judon, we also know that we aren’t getting our money’s worth with Judon and he will be overpaid
