Signings, Cuts, Trades

That’s not taking into account the cap number though. That’s where the issue lies, you could Likely get the same or better production from a R2 pick for a fraction of the cost and spend elsewhere, and yeah we know what we’re getting with Judon, we also know that we aren’t getting our money’s worth with Judon and he will be overpaid

Two things here:

1. I wouldn't anticipate getting the same production. Kamalei Correa says hi.

2. Where are you spending elsewhere if you don't trade Judon in the next couple of days? $16M sounds great but anyone worth spending on will be gone.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT NUK PLEASE

I just dont see anyone coming in and matching his production at that position. Hard to find linebackers who can do what we ask of Judon and this offseason is no exception. If your in win now mode your not counting on rookies at impact positions. I want him locked up long term even if it means we have to overpay a little

Correa was a head scratcher of a pick to begin with, and while I got bullish on him as the ultimate optimist, he shouldn’t have been picked regardless. And if your concern is about the well running dry, then hurry up and do it, if not, wait til the draft and try to use the heat of the moment to move him, if you can get yourself a round 2 pick then Don’t even worry about spending that 16m, if an opportunity presents itself then pounce, if not then use it to extend current players and let the rest carry over. Stanley and Humphrey still need extending, that’s where the 16m can go and if you hold up to your value of Judon=2nd rounder, then you extend your guys and get a 2 out of it

and that’s why I said I’m getting comfortable with keeping Judon when a few days ago I was stone set on trading him

I cannot fathom any scenario where they'd be content trading Judon without having one of these tier 2 FA pass rushers lined up. It would need to happen pretty much immediately if they wanted to move Judon.

Can someone please tell me why it is that the Calais Campbell trade is being so scrupulously ignored on BR.com? Is it because the trade isn't final till the start of free agency or is it something to be worried about like the trade falling through because of the extension with Campbell? Please allay my paranoia.

the trade can't be finalized until the beginning of the league year.

"and while I got bullish on him as the ultimate optimist"....
@JoeyFlex5 seriously?

still pissed we couldnt add a Joe Schobert ( so i wouldnt have to worry about murray being picked) or a shaq Lawson to solidify our edge situaon.

Hahaha oh I will!
I feel like we value picks too much and I assume he cant be cheap.

Not saying its impossible though, especially with how aggressive Decosta has been in win now mode and I'm sure he'll give them a call but I cant imagine him giving up big assets

We are going to need a linebacker who can cover Austin Hooper twice a year since he's signed with the Browns.
