Signings, Cuts, Trades

Chiefs just got Thuney on a 5 year deal

5 years 80m 16/yr makes him the 2nd highest paid guard in the league
I wanted Thuney but yea I’m good lol

lol - tbf he looked great in the 1 half of football he played in 2019...

but there's absolutely no reason why the jets should even remotely consider it unless they get major value back because they lose cap space by trading him...

Not a scheme fit in the 4-3 under Saleh. I'd take him back for like a 6th or 5th given that stupid contract they gave him. Queen & Mosley in the middle? #SIIE

Juju's a good player. I'd be happy with him here. Really don't care about his social media stuff - just whether he performs.
He needs to stop with the logo bullshit and focus on football. He’s the kind of WR that Lamar would love and is one of the best blocking WRs in the league. Rather have him than a washed up Green. People need to get out their feelings

Why not? He’d be a great fit in this offense. I don’t like him as a person but if he stops doing little girl shit, he’d fit in perfectly
It’s that little girl shit I have a problem with. Shit is mad corny, like he’s wack af for doing that dance every week, yo look like a whole b1tch out here with that

Trust me I agree but we have a strong locker room that I’d like to think would tell him to knock the little girl shit off

It looks like it would actually save them $1.5M.

It appears that by him opting out last year, it sort of "tolled" his contract a bit.

He actually got a small signing bonus $7.5M, and a roster bonus in 2019 of $10.5M, which the Jets did not prorate, so they took all the hit then.

His $6M salary for 2021 is guaranteed, and right now, half of his $16M salary in 2022 is guaranteed ($8M). The remaining $8M becomes guaranteed a week from today.

However, salaries convey when you're traded. So the only "dead money" involved in a trade, right now, is $6M. Whatever team would be acquiring him effectively take on $22M in guaranteed salary for the next two seasons, and then $17M (non guaranteed) each in 2023 and 2024.

So the cap isn't a problem for a trade. The problem in a trade is that they'll need to find a team to agree to pay him $22M guaranteed over the next two years, or convince him to take a paycut prior to next season.

I’m not sure I can speak because I’m in the Pit of Misery.

SYKE, WE WANT JUJU
I knew you were a real one even though you have a GT ;)

Until Vonn Bell became the people's champion for a night.

I suppose, but I dunno. I used to like Juju too which is rare for me to do for a Steeler lol. But then he acted like his shit don't smell. Outside of week 16 in which we NEEDED them to win, I thoroughly enjoyed watching their collapse which came to a conclusion on my birthday.

He doesn’t seem to care about that though. He implied as much when talking about how much his Tik tok following means to him and how he wasn’t gonna stop doing it.

he’s an nfl player with his priorities mixed up

5 Years $62M for Corey Linsley from the Chargers. $26M in the first two years of the deal. Yeah I wanted him but not at that price.

This is why bad teams stay bad lol

@rossihunter2 , you're right. Browns fans just find a way to provide humor at times........like this tweet.

My, how QUICK do they forget about Paul Kruger.

This is why I hate that team and their fan base with a passion

Not as much as I was expecting for Judon honestly. Figured some team was going to overpay more than that. Good luck to him. Always thought he was under appreciated here. Really curious to see how his personality meshes with Bill.
Judon's overrated.
