i think you underestimate how fucked australia's mismanagement is too lol

in a country that's one of the most affected by climate change, their government is still ignoring it and subsidising oil barons - one of the few countries in the world where there's a chance your home might simultaneously get flooded and also catch on fire

and even scarier they've got deadly fucking spiders
This is true I’ve heard horrible horrible things about Australia current governance lol. Baltimore is buried under generations of horrible governing but I guess it’s been resting at a “it can’t get any worse” state for about ten years now so there’s that lol

FYI

I know Decosta said we want to pick 20 players over last and this year, but I feel like given our better than normal positioning maybe this is the time to be more aggressive than usual.

Would love to come out of the draft with 1 really good CB, EDGE, and OT. That might require only making 7 picks instead of 10 and I'd be fine with that

I agree that Watson views it that way, but I also think that that way if thinking is why Watson is probably not going to win a title at least in this 4 year span.
I think it just depends. Watson probably sees NFC as an easier path to the playoffs than the bloodbath of the AFC. I think Rossi mentioned it will be a beat down and whoever is last standing in the AFC and healthy. I think that does play a role because recently NFC have won quite a bit. I also don’t think it’s coincidence Brady went to NFC either. It’s just a path of least resistance and maybe they come out healthier and can beat up on whoever comes from the AFC.
FYI

Damn that would be sad. I hoped it could still happen but really still want a C anyway. I also don’t know about trusting any media source with regards to Smith now.

Ahhhhhh it's not that hard. There is only one position worth spending on now. CENTER.

not even sure we need to cut those 2 to make it happen (but hopefully we cut boykin at least anyway) - pretty sure we've got the space already unless they want a sub-3 year deal

See I personally just find it confusing that no one is saying anything at Bozeman. Not just the Ravens, nobody is. What's going on with that?

i think the key thing with a trade and EDC has said this before, is 2 conditions have to be met by the prospect:
1) you have to be absolutely certain about the prospect and
2) they have be graded significantly above everyone else remaining

cant just be a guy we like a little more than whoever's there

Yeah even if he didn't say that, you'd hope that's how it would be. My guess and it's totally just a guess, but the earlier you pick in a strong draft class, the more likely for those conditions to be met

Is Stephen Gilmore even worth looking at?

if we're bringing in a vet corner i think they have to cost less than averett (1 yr 4.5m) or else there's not much point - if someone like gilmore who's a scheme fit wants to come here and play 60% of the snaps and try and get himself another superbowl on a very low money deal then sure but otherwise i think we look to get younger and retool at CB - we're paying a ton of money to our secondary right now and even with MP on the last year of his deal it seems unlikely that we want to be paying veteran multi-year salary-type contracts to all 5 members of the secondary

I agree with that for sure. I just don't have any idea what his market is gonna be like. I assume not huge, but also probably larger than AA?

i kind of think it's arbitrary and completely dependent on the class year-to-year - i think at 14, and especially in this class, it's exceedingly unlikely it happens

looking at my board right now if we do it, i imagine it'll be a move up from 45 - that's where it seems most likely that those conditions might be met but seems unlikely anywhere else from what ive seen so far - feels far more likely that we'll try and trade down in day 3 for more day 3 picks - day 3 is absolutely loaded in this class (as we expected)

Yeah that's where I'd expect it as well. Definitely not in RD1. I feel like we're gonna wanna have 2 picks in the second round

Not sure if The Ravens want to cut Powers yet He may not be great but he definitely a solid back up guard at both the left and right guard position.

Plus he still has the Mo connection :(

I'd rather not have to cut him either. However IF cutting him is the difference between signing BB or Tretter, then you can't justify keeping him

Am i the only one who doesn't like the Pierce signing? Why do we keep paying players who only play 35% of all snaps and aren't great pass rushers?
I like Pierce don't get we wrong, but i don't see the benefit of it

Were you mad when we signed Tucker? Cos he plays even less. If he plays at a high level it's a good signing but it is a little risky given how much he has played recently

he was very good in Minnesota. He played 8 games this season had 3 sacks and 16 pressures. DT need to be rotated to stay fresh and are going to naturally have a lower % of snaps. Pierce is a hell of a signing and reasonable contract at that.
