Signings, Cuts, Trades

Is he better than Mahomes? Easily no. Rodgers? Easily no. Josh Allen? More debatable but I would lean no. He had a great 2019 but he has not come close to replicating it from either a running or passing perspective and if the argument is that he needs players he will never get that under said deal. I would rather hit a QB in the draft next year, which is not an insane proposition, and have 3-4 big all pro names in their prime to help said drafted QB then have a QB with minimal pieces around him and trying to win that way.

lamar was better in the beginning of 2021 than he has ever been
he was better than anyone else in the league through 9 weeks of the season

i dont know what it is you think you need to see to be convinced - what doesnt lamar do that makes you feel like he's not in the same tier as those guys you just named?

and to have the gall to think lamar's replaceable by a rookie? outrageous

Browns deserve all the bad karma this season, if it was possible I would want them to go 0-22. One loss for every civil suit and just remember, just because he wasn't charged doesn't mean he's innocent. The amount of people who think he's innocent because the judge didn't see enough evidence to charge him is baffling. America needs a new justice system that punishes athletes the way an average Joe would be punished.

ODB has not looked good in several years. The Browns played better without him.

Landry has looked good for a 2 but that is about it and his production has now been down 2 years in a row which tends to be a bad sign.

did you not watch the end of the season and playoffs?
odell was great - the problem was the browns

rams were dominating that superbowl on offence against a good bengals defence until odell went down with the injury

So on OL we have a very gimpy Stanley-very questionable LGs-very questionable centers-very questionable RGs-Morgan Moses… and hoping for a CB… yet we’re confused on why Lamar is literally ghosting the team hahahahaha

BINGO....... Watson wanted to outsmart the league and make sure he didn't lose too much money when he ultimately serves a suspension. Maybe he should have thought about money and his career before he became a creep.

the problem was about evidence to support a criminal proceeding which is really tough in a he-said-she-said situation even if it's he-said-she-said-she-said-she-said-she-said-she-said-she-said etc.

the mechanics of this are why rape convictions and sexual assault convictions are so rare - because they're so rarely prosecuted at all

that doesnt stop the civil proceedings though which is why i imagine he'll settle and the NFL will brush this under the rug

Statically lamar had a great year in 2019 but the “ he needs to return to 2019 form” is all biased imo.He wasnt really all that as a passer that season. Id take every year lamar after that 2019 season before i take the lamar we saw in 2019.

Deshaun Watson gets a $45 million signing bonus. His base salary this season is $1 million, so any suspension -- if there is one -- would cost him juts $55,555 per game lost.

The NFL will never change.

He was probably playing better but def wasnt better

I mean the Browns are the best of the teams listed and honestly if you are going to a team that needs to rebuild why even leave Houston in the first place? Whoever makes the trade for Watson is not going to have high picks for the next few years and the Saints are not going to be able to sign fresh free agents and not going to have draft picks so how are they going to improve? The same can be said of the Falcons and the Falcons have less talent on them than the Saints. So if it is unlikely your team is going to be any good until you are a free agent again why would you choose that organization?
Because he clearly wanted to leave Houston badly. That's priority #1.

?

did you forget about zeitler at RG?

we've got 4 tackles we wont mind taking snaps for us right now - 2 of them have injury concerns but have hopes they'll return - that's not a bad situation - obviously it looks dramatically better if we can guarantee ronnie comes back which obviously no one outside the building or ronnie's camp has any idea about yet

we still need to sort out C for sure but we've got the whole rest of the offseason to figure that out and at least 1 good option still remaining in free agency

Bro cmon....Watson is a top 5 QB.
Based on what?

I'm not even saying he's not. But I think there's a group of like 8-10 QBs that are practically all the same. And he's one of them.

You'd have a hard time selling anybody that he's significantly better than Burrow, or Herbert, or Lamar, or Stafford, or Wilson. And I haven't even mentioned the likes of Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers, Brady, etc.

Jarvis was largely just a name and Cooper is every bit the WR Odell is (for different reasons as Cooper is a far stronger route runner which was always ODB weakness).
What????? OBJ is an elite route runner and better route runner than Cooper, not to take anything away from Cooper.
