Has this offseason in particular changed the market for WRs? The reason I bring it up is because there are a lot of people on reddit (I know I know) who are saying although they want to keep Hollywood and few months ago they thought he'd be affordable, now they think he's simply going to cost too much money.
We gotta see how he does this year with a hopefully healthy Lamar and healthier team. If he plays really really well he might be worth 20m. But if people want to pay him like 25m AAV next year thats gonna be a crazy situation to be a part of.
All indications from EDC are that be really values Hollywood so we'll see. It might make sense to try and add one more guy at WR though as insurance. Obviously not saying the first round. But somewhat early.
I'd look at DJ Moore's recently redone deal as a better comp for the upper end of hollywood's deal if it was done today... 3yrs 62m - that feels like the type of deal (maybe with a couple of years of inflation impacting the price slightly) that hollywood could get if he balls out the next 2 years
the 25m+ deals have been reserved for the guys the league considers the true elite math-changing players at the position... the guys who can literally change the way you play defence just by being on the field
