Signings, Cuts, Trades

This has to be the least inspirational group of WRs the Patriots ever had. Mac Jones is going to go through what Brady went through in 2019.

"Patriots now head into this month’s draft with a group of WRs that includes DeVante Parker, Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, N’Keal Harry, Ty Montgomery, Kristian Wilkerson and Malcolm Perry."

that's really not that bad of a group

devante parker's nice, jakobi meyers is nice, kendrick bourne's a nice complement... i dont rate nelson agholor but he's gonna be good for at least 450 yds most likely too

on top of that they've got the 2 TEs they spent a ton of money on last year too

It’s not a meal, it’s an experience. You’re supposed to be eating them outside in the nice weather, drinking beers, and hanging out. It’s like a cookout.

When you grow up with it you always appreciate it lol. Cracking and eating your own crabs is like a rite of passage for a child in MD
Do you all eat lots of crawfish over there too? Wont find them down here dam near at all

Here we go again with the Ravens being listed as a possible landing spot for Kaepernick. It would have already happened had his dingus GF not compared Bisciotti to a slave master. Never going to happen after that.
Oh god. We’re more than fine with Huntley. Can this dude just go away?

I think The Ravens for sure are fine with Huntley as their backup quarterback but I'm not going to pretend like Colin Kaepernick wouldn't possily be a better backup quarterback either. He definitely has a stronger arm than Hunley for sure.

Not at all. At like a backyard crab cookout the necessities are enough crabs for everyone to have at least 6, lots of corn on the cob, deviled eggs or potato salad, a thing or two off the grill, and a cooler of cheap ass light beer. For some reason trash beer goes so well with crabs it feels illegal to wash them down with anything else.

Also horseshoes was always played when I was coming up, nowadays it’s more cornhole. Some of my best memories growing up was my whole eastern shore family coming over our side and getting rowdy over some crabs, horseshoes and beer.

i flip both ways on this one - im almost completely philosophically opposed to trading up but i can probably stomach a 2 spot pick swap if that's all it is... especially if i love the prospect

but im also not in love with the trade down option talent this year tbh - think it would have to be a ton of value for me to want to trade down - would need to be adding day 2 picks to make it worth our while

in a trade down, it would have to be a case of getting into the 20s and maybe even trading down a couple of times and picking up multiple extra day 2 picks and getting a guy who might fall because of an injured offseason like Andrew Booth - that would be a slam-dunk trade down type scenario but im not in love with the later 1st round prospects - think the fall off after the first 16-18 guys is pretty significant
I think the fall off is pretty significant after your original top 10 lol. I feel like one receiver and 1 QB are guaranteed ahead of us but not much else. So I'm expecting to need to trade up 2 spots to grab our guy

Yea same here.. i didnt appreciate it then but i do now.. horseshoes, spades, dominoes and the hot ass sun lol..oh,and they would make us clean up afterwards ..we still do it but as a child it just seemed different.

Most of the crabs we eat here don’t come from the bay lol
May to November most of the crabs are local. But you’re right about crabmeat that restaurants use for dishes. Most of it is Southeast Asia and north coast of South America.

Wye River crabs are known to be the fattest, tastiest jimmies. Chester, Patuxent and Wicomico river trot line crabs are really good too. Because of where I live we eat mostly Patuxent crabbys.

You’re making me cry! Can’t wait for some summer cookouts.

The thing I don't understand is to say he was being kept out of the league when nobody truly knows how much he was asking for, was he only wanting to be a starter, did he refuse to be a backup? The fact we were going to sign him shows he wasn't being kept out of the league like some conspiracy.

The Broncos tried trading for him in 2016 yet he refused the trade because he refused a paycut going to Denver. Literally turned down being a starter on the Broncos coming off their Super Bowl win. Then dude says I'm moving my practice and forcing teams to a different location. He needs to look in the mirror to see why he's not in the NFL.

He ain’t really trying to come back.

i mean if he and we can somehow reconcile, id have no issue with him coming in to compete to be a backup - we saw huntley doesnt have the zip in his arm to make him irreplaceable and one thing kaepernick has always had with his arm is the power to layer that ball in

people forget just how unbelievably dynamic he was - not expecting that same level of explosion from a 34 yr old guy who's not played for 5 years but if he wants to come in and compete id have no issue with him doing that here

all that said - i dont think he's that serious about a comeback

It just amazing to me people think Kap is some righteous dude that cares about anyone other than himself. It’s all business model to keep the revenue coming in. I highly doubt this guys wants to play football. Just keeping the brand alive and we’ll with these “comebacks”

I’m fine with what kaepernick is attempting to do, I’m all for civil rights, I just hate the way he Carries himself. He is consistently ignorant, uninformed, short sighted, arrogant, narcissistic, and it really makes it hard for me to think he’s anything more than a clown who speaks on issues for his own benefit.

i do sometimes find what he's doing now disingenuous but i do have to remind myself that whatever this has become, it started off as an honest movement and statement for change - maybe it's become self-serving but when this started it absolutely was not self-serving at all

Gotta add that that Eastern Shore/Southern Maryland corn is the best! And my wife makes killer deviled eggs.

I can hear the shoes hittin’ the pegs and the cans popping now! Let’s go!
