Signings, Cuts, Trades

I would be more excited with the acquisition of Deebo with a creative OC / offense. Sadly, we don’t have that.. so it’ll cap the potential of this trade

Honestly I think Greg Roman is more creative than what we give him credit for. He played around with using Devin Duvernay in a similar way as Deebo but just didn't fully commit to it for some reason.

I’m reading that Deebo really wants out of the 49ers which is alittle shocking

The wild thing about this Deebo situation is that he apparently wants to be a more traditional WR. Feels like the first dude ever to want less touches. Just doesn’t make sense.

He hates running the ball lmao

Maybe we should just put Ricard back on the DL. Dudes a unit. If I was a noob, I would’ve thought JMad was the FB lol

Imagine if Steelers just sending this out as a threat so Browns keep Bakers 19milly price tag on the salary cap lol. Either way, it would be a win win for the Steelers. Love the pettiness

I’m guessing high state taxes and the fact he knows Trey Lance isn’t ready.

Depends on what you mean by high end, hes not cordarell Patterson, he can play wr for real. He’s not davante Adams or anything but he’s still a very good receiver
Right, but he's undoubtedly going to want Adams/Tyreke money. A team would give it to him if he could be used as a dual purpose offensive weapon.
I guarantee he's not going to come out and say "I'm willing to take less money to not run the ball anymore". He wants both.

He just wants to lock in a contract before he either gets injured or he turns out to be a one year wonder. 9ers don't want sign a contact yet to for the same reasons.

I think the Niners would sign him today for $20M a year. Perhaps more. Doesn't appear to be a two-sided conflict here.

If he wants a new contract, asking for a trade and complaining about usage is highly unlikely to yield any of those things. They'll just ship him off to the Jets and he can rot away while getting paid AND still being used as a RB.

Seems to be the way to negotiate contracts these days.

Complaining about usage, yes. Requesting a trade, less so. Many of the guys who have requested trades have actually gotten traded.
I'm just highly confused by Deebo's stance. If it's a usage issue, I'd imagine you'd address that with coaching/FO beforehand. Possible he did and may have been told "we'll use you as we see fit", which could warrant this.
But if he didn't do that and just decided to use that publicly without talking to the FO/coaching staff, then its purely a leverage play to get more money, which is what I think it is.

Well I think it's about money for sure. The usage puts him at risk going into a contract year and I'm guessing he knows after the year he had they will keep using him that way.

I want this to happen just to see the grudge match. Entertainment value through the roof
