Signings, Cuts, Trades

My favorite comedy movie. So many great lines haha.

When i scrolled through YouTube for Hamilton film and saw this thumbnail, immediately thought of “MAGNUM!!”

Bro.....thats clearly "FERARII" C'mon, man. Could be "BLUE STEEL".

Actually, the more I look, you're right.

im not gonna do it for you - but you can find posts of us talking about gabriel davis as a good contributor from before the 2021 season even began - if you look through the offseason thread, lots of us were bemoaning back then the fact that we passed on him

it's on you that you havent noticed him
he put up nearly 599 yds as a WR3/4 as a rookie...
and then backed it up this year with another 550 despite being pushed down the depth chart by emmanuel sanders... and then showed up huge in the playoffs and ran one of the most eye-catching routes of the season vs l'jarious sneed in that playoff game

no one's talking about him as a WR1 or superstar - but the idea that because you didnt notice him that others cant possibly have is massively hubristic lol
About as massively hubristic as suggesting that Buffalo made a massive investment in giving Josh Allen weapons by using a 4th round pick on a guy who has 1,100 yards in two years and, as you agreed, hasn't been a WR2 on that team in either.

Agree that's massively hubristic.

Serious question. Why is it that you have to be right every time? It is almost megalomaniacal, the intent of your posts. They have this air of defiant and dismissive superiority. Not that you are right or wrong about the content (I don't know), but the way you go about brandishing this air of football knowledge superiority confounds me.
Is it really about superior football knowledge, or is it more about people being questioned about their opinions and me putting them in a corner where they actually have to, you know, defend them? I think even you would agree that we're in an era where "being right" is more important than "getting it right". I'm obviously in the "get it right" camp, and there's a lot of people that really, really, really, really don't like that at all.

when have i ever said that lol?

You haven't. Remember what the original premise of the conversation was though... Buffalo has loaded up Josh Allen with weapons, and given him things Lamar never had.
And that's not my premise either...

i do not care what the original premise of the conversation was... that had nothing to do with me...
has nothing to do with me (and others) being in on gabriel davis well before the chiefs playoff game

Enough with the Gabe Davis he-say she-say..

So how about Mr. 4.22, John Ross?

Just found out he’s a free agent. Can’t hurt to bring him into camp.

John Ross just played on a 1 year 2 million dollar deal. If he wanted another 1 year to prove it kinda deal I'd pay him 2m. Not a penny more than that though. At least he actually has the speed to threaten a defense deep.

Let me just say though, I'd prefer Fuller because although he's always hurt, he's been hurt less than Ross and he's had better production. I just assumed he would cost too much and Ross js the budget Fuller

Yeah. I don’t expect Ross to be anything north of 2-2.5 milly. We love bargain shopping… I’m down for great value fuller

Guy would probably score like 4 TDs and probably put up like 400 yards as WR2 (I know that's higher production than we've seen for him but he'd be getting a lot more snaps here then other places) I'd pay 2m for that.

Thing with Fullers most recent injury is that it was a finger. There's reason to believe he'd be whole body 100% at the start of the season.

what makes you think he's great value fuller?

fuller's actually shown he can be a good starting WR when he's healthy
ross is less healthy and hasnt shown he can be a starter ever...

im not giving ross more than the minimum

Agreed. I’ll roll the dice on fuller on Julio before I do that, same for reagor, those guys aren’t viable nfl receivers, fuller and Julio are

You're exactly right. And therefore will cost way more

i mean so what...
it's not like at this point in the offseason we're looking at back-breaking contract numbers
i'd rather spend some extra money on a guy who will contribute than hoping for something we've never seen before from someone even more injured just because he's cheaper
