Signings, Cuts, Trades

I think the most embarrassing part of the loss was that the one coach / coordinator we fired ends up winning the game.

time we can admit wink and his 3 top 3 defenses wasn't the issue?

wink wasnt able to do more with less while he was here and there were elements of his defence that became far too predictable while he was here (and i imagine he has refreshed somewhat with the giants and the stacked pressure looks he showed us are a new wrinkle)

but while he wasnt necessarily able to do more with less - he was able to do more with more and take a bunch of studs and turn them into a top defence on a consistent basis for multiple years

the giants have a loaded pass rush and DL and knew we couldnt threaten them over the top without Bateman

i miss wink mostly because i miss being aggressive in those key situations - with macdonald it feels inevitable that we're gonna give up those plays late - with wink it felt like there was a 50% chance we could end a drive with 1 play with just 1 well designed blitz - even when we lost it at least felt better that we attacked and were proactive

Right - we all hated the blitz cuz it felt like it never worked. now we know what never works actually looks like. I am a strong agreer on the philosophy more with more from wink. id rather have that to be a contender.
sidetone, I was dumbfounded at how many former ravens the giants had including jelly and ward. its no longer the jets are the ravens, now its the meadowlands ravens^2

the difference is that the giants have a couple of ravens that i would have liked to keep around
jihad ward would have been a godsend through the first 6 weeks of the season lol
and jelly would have been nice to have with pierce going down too

Idk how any wr can help us right now.. we currently cant even get the ball to open wrs so im not sure how anyone will help.. like someone said above, we need consistent qb play. If i were a packer fan, id be wondering why they havent traded for atleast 2 wrs yet lol..
Did you see the separation stats from the Giants game? There were precisely 0 people open at all basically the whole game. It was like worst in the league bad separation

Now THAT'S a Ravens tradition for ya! Old or out-of-their-prime WRs who get signed to be one of our most productive receivers for the season.

+35 (kudos to those who get the reference)

Don't ask me why but this brought me back to TJ WhosYourMama and Lee MOTHER FUCKING EVANS

EDC better be on the hot seat soon. Took him 20 years to finally get the job. Bombs his first draft class, can’t get a deal done with his franchise QB, and continually bargain shopping
I agree. Starting to lose faith myself. we need to be All In for this season!

I don't think he did because he is running away with a narrative when the problem is right in the middle.

It is true that Lamar has struggled the last few weeks. It is also true that our guys aren't getting separation.

Like the Kennard pickup as long as he’s not a pass rush solution. Been a solid SLB in his career and adds some depth there should Bowser be slow to come back. Not a perfect solution by any means but can’t complain about the PS. He can theoretically occupy those roles and let the pass rushers actually rush.

Hate the idea of DeSean. Just feels useless.

I've said this once I'll say it again, our GM's are like that relative that says they gonna take you out for new clothes and shoes, thinking you're going to the local Foot Locker, only to be taken to Payless or Kmart..what a joke this team is.

The fact that Proche and Wallace get basically no snaps, even with Bateman out coupled to this DeSean Jackson interview is truly pathetic.

It means the team knew that those two were hot garbage and did precisely nothing other than bring in one other guy who is such hot garbage that he couldn't even make the first round of cuts.

Then shocker.... an injury at WR and you see that we have league wide lows of receiver separation. Then the team says you know.... Maybe we should go get that 35 year old off the couch who's a total headcase and antisemite.

To bring in Isabella and Jackson is to admit mistake in the roster construction, but will not spur any meaningful change.

It's actually quite incredible. I wonder if there has ever been a WR depth chart as bad as Bateman, Duvernay, Robinson, Proche, and Wallace on a playoff team.

The true source of this mess is Roman's limited offense. We draft players accordingly. He doesn't need WRs. I am not sure he'd know what to do with Jefferson, Chase and Waddle on the team.
