Exactly! The truth is no one really knows what is going on and what types of deals the FO are making behind the scenes. Speculation at best! Sometimes you guess right and other times you guess wrong. Glad EDC pulled the trigger on Roquan though.
 


We all said it preseason, WTF happens if Bateman goes down? No we get to suffer through the consequences of the front office failure to address WR

Stop. You can’t possibly think this. I know you love our TEs, but our “playmakers” are hot garbage after Mark and maybe Duv. Likely hasn’t done shit while playing 2nd TE

I truly do fear that Lamar would refuse the franchise tag or demand a trade if this keeps up.

This is like the 2013 Ravens season all over again.

I’m not sure i agree. Ultimately comes down to money. If we hit his asking price i bet he stays regardless of the roster.

It obviously was. Our interior DL was a little neglected for a while, too - hard to rush on edges if there's no pressure inside.

He doesn't really have the option to refuse the tag, and he can demand any trade he wants and still not get it.

As I soak all this in, the failure to not sign Lamar last year or this year is, by far, the biggest joint failure between the parties. A long term extension opens up everything. The lack of one shuts down tons of options.

The WR depth is obviously lacking, but "depth" is like a mid-round pick. I'm nowhere close to being sold that a mid-round WR is going to be the difference in what this team ends up doing the rest of the year.
