Signings, Cuts, Trades

Henry probably would fit better in Greg Romans offense more than Todd Monkens. Monken seems to like a running back with speed that can be an asset in the passing game as his main running back. I don't doubt that Monken could still make it work with Henry but a running back like Alvin Kamara probably would be a better fit for this offense than anything.
I understand the scheme concerns. I’m just to enamored at the possibility of Lamar and the offense starting out well early in games. Followed by Henry wearing them down and breaking wills late in games.

Technically that’s what Gus would be doing if he wasn’t forced into the bell cow role. It’s what he did best last year with Dobbins back in the fold. Don’t think you need to get a guy that would duplicate a role we already have. Just think there’s more value in a guy that can be more of an explosive asset.

Of course, if that option exists.

Any particular reason why no on Henry? If you knew you could get him for a third would you do it?

No chance
A 3rd is way too high

Don’t think he’s an amazing fit, don’t think he demonstrably offers that much more than gus, doesn’t have much experience at the mesh point

Interesting but not really. This would be a very small money just added DL depth as it is one of our thinner spots.
I’d be aiming higher but if the trade deadline passes and there’s not a better option, I can think of worse guys to have around for a playoff run. He was pretty effective as a rotational guy for Philly last year.

yes he was and he would be intriguing to have as a rotational depth piece.

I'm starting to wonder how much Madubuike is going to want at the end of the season. I'm thinking it could be in the 20m range if he ends up with double digit sacks or close to it.

I'd rather give him the money than Marcus Williams and then find a way to keep Stone. Stone outplaying Williams whose been injury prone since arriving
