Signings, Cuts, Trades

Looking at the new guy coming from Atlanta, the only thing that's clear is that they want mobility on the offensive line..
.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. Much more likely to be a camp body than anything. Just a guy with familiarity coming in and getting a shot.

Yes, I agree, I just see the type of player they might want.

Anyway, the Falcons' offensive line wasn't exactly known for having well-known players beyond Matthews or Lindstrom.

Good to have depth that can play multiple spots and knows the system
Can't stress enough how important Oline depth is. Arguably as much as the starters. Ravens actually had one of the healthiest Olines in the league last year, and I'd expect at least some regression.
It's wonderful to have an elite core, but if your depth sucks, you'll spend good chunks of the year without your starters.

Also love player versatility on the line, and clearly we're going to have at least 5-6 guys competing for starting spots on the interior. Which is optimal.

I love how Minter and co are getting THEIR guys. Can’t wait to see what we do for Declan

Right now you've got 8 OL that are likely to factor into the real competition to make the 53

your presumptive starters (pending further moves)
Ronnie Stanley, John Simpson, Corey Bullock, Emery Jones Jr, Roger Rosengarten

your depth:
Carson Vinson (swing tackle, might factor into G), Andrew Vorhees (guard), Jovaughn Gwyn (G/C)

i'd expect a day 2 draft pick to feature in the C/G competition to start somewhere (maybe at both) and i expect we'll be wanting to find a veteran OT and then probably draft some other developmental guys on day 3

ideally you're looking at 11-12 guys fighting for those 9-10 spots

What guys are they, other than the TE from Chicago?
I didn’t mean that literally, like they’re taking guys from their old teams (which they are, obviously, with a couple of the signings) but rather getting the safety from New England who Minter felt fit his scheme well - same with Trey - and more to come

I wonder if we would’ve signed Mack had we not traded for Maxx

So.... anyone find it suspicious the Raiders suddenly are keeping Crosby? Like I know our deal fell through but now Crosby wants to stay a Raider?
Nothing suspicious. Seems our physical may have sent waves around the NFL because no one is calling. LV and Maxx have no choice but to embrace each other for the time being.

I think there may be a tiny bit of "Ravens were the only ones willing to do this deal with 2 1st round picks"

His medical not checking out to the Ravens liking is definitely a sign, same with the Cowboys not jumping on board.
