Signings, Cuts, Trades

that's a very reasonable deal lol
2 years 20m, with an easy out in year 3 or a very reasonable 3rd year price

26th highest paid G in AAV in the league for competent starter level play feels very reasonable to me...

It’s the fact he’s the only move we made on OLine pretty much, combo that with the fact we lost Lindy..

After how bad our OLine was last year. EDC still going cheap.

Honestly, I think a line of Stanley - Simpson - Bullock - Emory - RR is solid and an upgrade over last season’s, and that’s not even accounting for what we do in the draft

I’m shocked Teller has yet to sign - we must have a lot of faith in Emory. I also have a shit ton of faith in Ledford

lol no way. Simpson and Bullock got you feeling optimistic? Gotta be copium.

I mean if that’s what we trot out there despite the draft the G positions are still an upgrade over last year’s shit show lol

i much prefer tyson to lemon, personally

delane i just need testing to show whether he's fast enough but right now he's 9th on my board and could rise if those testing numbers come back well

banks flashes crazy movement but i dont think that's a guy who impacts early
and then on top of that he broke his foot at the combine and will miss at least all of OTAs (on top of all the previous foot injuries and surgeries he's had)

for me any of these guys would be great picks:
Rueben Bain Jr (this is the dream but it's not going to happen lol)
Sonny Styles
Arvell Reese
Jermod McCoy
Mansoor Delane
Caleb Downs
Jeremiyah Love
Jordyn Tyson
Carnell Tate
Francis Mauigoa
Spencer Fano

so yeah, outside of Mendoza, only need 2 or 3 guys from not on this list to go to give us a shot at one of those guys:
Bailey
Freeling
Lemon
Sadiq

would all be really useful guys to get picked ahead of us
Great read. I had no idea about the banks injury either. That was a short lived love affair for me lol. I don't nearly watch enough tape or anything to contradict you, but I will say I HATE usc kids and players growing up around it and with two USC roommates and lemon can ball. To me he's a rare case of just a football player, not a measurement guy or insane athlete but just someone I trust to make tough catch in any big moment, that's the only reason I like him. All said, I can 100% see the rams taking him so might not be a worry.

I agree Tyson has a much higher ceiling but only scared of him due to injuries - if he goes to the chiefs he will be a Hof And if he drops to us he will spend life on IR cuz that's how she goes.

I love Simpson. I rewatched a huddle it up film study of him with us in 2023. Everyone always mentions gus's infinite short yardage tds in the conversation of Lamar's 23 mvp season lack of touchdowns, but lost in that is JS just PAVING dudes in a phone booth situation. I think he's super helpful in contrast to Stanley too, where he can help with the really powerful players on stunts and freeing up Stanley to run upfield

I'd love to get teller for one year and have him compete with Emory. If Emory wins, who cares about the 4 mil spent. It's effectively Emory's rookie year in a position he didn't prefer last year (said he felt better at LG). If you give me JS and Teller, I feel comfortable with bullock or a rookie at center. I don't feel comfortable with a new center and "rookie" rg

I agree lol. This feels like the same level of cope Ravens fans were feeling after losing everyone after the 2013 Super Bowl.

It’s been a bad free agency losing a ton of talent. Only thing that has you feeling optimistic is hoping this new coaching staff brings in some average staters that fit their vision of the team.

I’m concerned the Ravens window is closer to being closed than it being open. I love the potential the coaches can bring and I do think that coaching has held the team back in key moments, but overall was still one of the better coaching staffs.

A few of these offseason moves just feel a bit desperate. I hope to be proven wrong, and I have liked everything so far this coaching staff has had to say. But they definitely have their work cut out for them.

A lot of key guys are older now. Andrews, Stanley, Roquan, Marlon, Hendrickson, and Henry. All could be done within the next 2 years or declined to the point they shouldn’t be starting. I may be a bit pessimistic with Stanely, he’s only 31 but he has had strings of injuries.

Flowers feels like in that awkward in between of do we pay him or let him walk. He would likely get more money elsewhere, and he’s not a top 10 guy the franchise likes to hand money to.

not going to pretend he's awesome or anything special

but his ability to set the tone upfront alongside a lot of the highlight blocks is very valuable - which is why he's now on his 3rd contract despite some inconsistency down to down

But you wanna invest in AJ Brown? Lol

Imagine that. It’s almost like a safe bet for a starter at an important position is, valued? No way, I thought the arbitrary “positional value” charts mattered more.
I like Vega but unless Fano falls I’m scared to draft IOL high again after the Lindy situation. I only bring up Fano because he can go outside in a pinch and if we have to pay him as a T then so be it

Dude’s solid for sure - just really has to decrease the penalties or else my blood will boil
