They don’t want to trade him. Normally for a 28 year old all pro DT, a single first gets it done but they will have to overpay because they won’t want to trade him (similar to Crosby). You done lost your fucking mind
An "overpay" would be a 1st + mid rounder. Not two firsts. They don’t want to trade him. Normally for a 28 year old all pro DT, a single first gets it done but they will have to overpay because they won’t want to trade him (similar to Crosby).
I don’t know why but I could see Harbs being petty and not wanting to trade him here. Also, unless Beeks is in danger of not playing again then I don’t see the need.
However trading pick 14 would likely be enough. Deforest Buckner was traded for pick 13 and they are at similar points in their careers
Ok, well if he does that then we'll re-hire him back as Head Coach... just to fire him again.Harbaugh would absolutely veto a move to spite us, it’s EXACTLY who he is.
Its going to take a Mcduffie overpay because they almost certainly wont want to trade him when they have under contract at a cheap value. He isn't getting traded and if it was it would be because someone overpaid for him. A 1st and a 3rd/4th is about what one would expect normally. An "overpay" would be a 1st + mid rounder. Would imagine this has less to do with him wanting to be traded, and more to do with him wanting a raise on $20M in comp (and the lack of guaranteed $ remaining on his two years). Per usual this is something a raise or extension can fix.
Well he's not "cheap" to the Giants. His cap hit is $27M. Still 7th in the league at his position. McDuffie would obviously fetch more as somebody who wasn't on an expensive contract and is significantly younger than Lawrence. Its going to take a Mcduffie overpay because they almost certainly wont want to trade him when they have under contract at a cheap value. I mean if you trade for him then he isn't on that expensive of a contract. McDuffie had the last year of his rookie deal and then the Rams had to pay him 31m per year for 4 years. Meanwhile Lawrence has 2 years 37m which is a bargain before you likely extend him as well. McDuffie is 3 years younger but CBs tend to fall off younger than front 7. I would say both had down years last year but Lawrence was more down and at their peaks McDuffie is the better player but I would think for trade value it wont be far off.Well he's not "cheap" to the Giants. I don't think a trade's going to happen here, but if it were to happen, it would be because the Giants don't plan on extending him and want to get max value before his contract expires at the end of '27. Absent an extension beforehand, my guess is he'll be shopped mid-season if the Giants aren't in contention.
Right but an extension is likely part of any trade. I don't think Lawrence gets more than a 1st rounder anyway, so I think its moot. The point is that he will be cheap to the acquiring team but not cheap to the Giants. Function of comp prorations they're now seeing.I mean if you trade for him then he isn't on that expensive of a contract. Yes but an extension that starts in 2 years is different than one starting in 1 in terms of value. My point is if the max offer is a 1 he isn’t getting traded. The Giants would rather have him than a single 1st (which makes sense).Right but an extension is likely part of any trade. I’ll throw a 3rd to em in a heartbeat.
Would Harbs do a deal with EDC?

Today, probably. 6-7 months from now, if they're out of contention, they'll take whatever they can get mid-season. Which would probably be less than a 1. John just running his fucking mouth like alwaysI bet burns not up for trade
More than usually, actually. He never dared to say that ^^ while in Baltimore. That was clearly EDCs job. Over there, he just completely ignores Schoen.John just running his fucking mouth like always
