I was just saying how I'm getting my new Lamar jersey this week and I almost got a Zay one too but held off because of his contract situation. I hope this deal gets done before Camp on Wednesday.

I would think that if Madubikie wasn't coming back and retired, I could see it. Plus it seems he wants to play for a California team or the Raiders. Kind of crazy to want to go from paying no income tax in Florida to want to play in a high tax state like California. Maybe Vea has CTE.

if we hadnt just signed jones to an extension then i'd 100% be all over this lol

as it is, i dont see how we could possibly invest in another NT and also tbh don't see how this doesnt just end up with vita vea getting a new extension unless the Bucs are looking to move on completely

but if he's in any way in their long-term plans (and he should be), they should just bump his pay, give him a 3 year extension and move on

Exact type of guy this team would typically go after but you've got Jones and Madubuike for the long term, Campbell and Jenkins as the vets, and then some depth guys. Just too full of a position at this stage to keep investing there, especially since he's be a NT as you said.

But yeah I'd be surprised if he doesn't just end up staying in TB.
 
Vita Vea did say he wanted to play for a California team........ but never said which. Lakers, you can now replace LeBron..... or Dodgers... or Clippers. Maybe Golden State since they lost out on LeBron.

Hire a Defensive Guru HC and a 1st time playcalling OC, but let’s keep pumping into the Defense.

Vea cost you draft pick and 20+ milly contract and will be a rotational player.

Diggs cost you 5-7 milly and gets you 1k yards.

Sounds like a no brainer to me…

You see what you got in the young bulls. No reason to add Diggs YET. See what we have in camp. We have Tez and the 2 picks. We will never develop guys with this thinking.

I've given up on Diggs, they clearly want no part of him and prolly figure that they could have better option at the trade deadline if need be.

His family is from sf area and west coast is way closer to Tonga where I bet he still has ties. Tongan and oceanic people typically have very close family relations and maybe he's tired of being so far. 6 hours added on the flight.

49ers would honestly be a great fit, as he wouldn't go Seahawks or rams with their given young players. Chargers could use him but I just don't see that happening unsure why

But Agreeded he will probably just end in an extension
