The only thing I know about him is that PFF had him as their 52nd ranked prospect and whether that says more about them or him is still up in the air.

DJ had him as his 12the safety
there were some people who had 2nd round grades on him - that was way too rich for me with his athletic testing numbers but he has the ability to be an accomplished core special teams guy straight away with the upside of becoming potentially an effective dimebacker

I see the steal. The guy seems to know every single play before the ball is snapped. Spent all the morning looking at his film. I thought deshon elliot had decent instincs at texas. but stone is SO far ahead of him in that regard. Stone is right there with delpit and winfield JR when it comes to instincts in this draft.

The 2020 Ravens Defense will be even better than the 2000 Ravens Defense.

If we had 1 edge rusher of an all pro capacity i'd say we could be ALMOST as good but we're lacking in the edge department

in our 4-3 D in 2000 we had Boulware, Sharper, Ray, Burnett and McCrary as the DE's

This doesnt stand up to that.

I think it's impossible for this to happen again, due to offenses changing a lot over that period of time and so much more passing.

We will have one of the best in the league this year, but it doesn't stand up to the defense the Ravens put up in 2000. This defense was built from the outside in, the 2000 defense was built inside out.

I was shocked to hear stones name in 7. I figured he went in 4 or 5 and I missed it and some team got a total steal. I legit thought late 3rd round grade for a safety needy team which I wouldn’t consider us yet. Stone looked like a future starter at a honey badger type role, nickel/robber hybrid type who can actually play safety when needed because of their smarts. thats at least how I would imagine the ravens use him. We’d end up getting out from under tavon and stone might end up our next nickel, he’d be the “starter” there but would play a lot of robber type role, doing some blitzing and chasing backs and what not. He’s got a really good skillset and iq for this defense, that pick was a cherry on top for real

I was just talking to a Bucs friend who was realy, REALLY high on him. I asked him what I'll ask you: how TF did he fall like that? So basically he's a safety who can play CB as well?

I hope he can play S/T because unless he shows OUT in training camp and in every preseason game, I don't think he gets THAT many snaps. Also, I wonder what this means for DeShon because it's a shame that he can't stay healthy.

He’s a safety, but hes smaller, lacks size and speed, but he’s got quickness and is super instinctive and just a smart skilled player, he seems like he could play some slot cb if thrust into the role, I’ve seen a lot of safeties like him end up playing a lot of nickel in the nfl

i dont think it means anything for deshon per se - stone knows he's got to win a place on the roster with special teams

he's definitely not a corner and part of the reason he fell will be because of athleticism that will have had him off a lot of boards just because he missed the athletic thresholds

deshon was one of our best special teams players last year before he got injured and was dynamic in the secondary when he was playing on defence - the injuries might ultimately screw over his career but on a performance-basis he will make the team

but i dont see why we couldnt enter 2020 with Marlon, Marcus Peters, Jimmy, Tavon, Earl, Chuck, Levine, elliott, stone and then 2 more CBs (probably marshall and averett but maybe jordan richards) - i dont see why we couldnt have 11 DBs on the roster - we ended last year with 11 dbs (technically 5 safeties) but at least 2-3 of those dbs were basically special teams specialists and another 2-3 were expected to be stalwarts of that unit

i fully expect elliott to make the team on special teams prowess alone

I hope to see Elliot play a full season. He was already getting worked in on the defense with earl and chuck playing down low.

Im from SoCal, so I’ve followed iman Marshall’s career since he was highly recruited out of HS. He was a 5 star, #1 in the state of cali. I’m hoping he balls out and takes over for jimmy smith in the 3 CB rotation. I lost hope in averett
