He has a whole empty field, as the play develops exactly as designed but he lowers his head and blindly dives through the middle hoping to find a hole.
He gains 2 yards.

Again, head low. Nice, empty field on his left.

LT gains outside leverage while TE pulls to set the edge.

Doesn´t wait for his teammate to complete the motion and collides with him.
Gets tackled by the DB for a 2 yard gain.

Like I wrote before, probably it´s in his best interested to get drafted by a team with a solid Oline and one easy gameplan. He looks best when the blocks are unfolding right in front of his eyes. No great pulls or anything.
Here you see exactly what I meant. Double team on the DT, then 77 gets to the second level engaging the MLB.

Jones has to do what he does best: full speed, one cut and say goodbye. He´s almost uncatchable then.
