Next Up: vs Titans

Thought I'd be way more pumped up for this game when the schedule came out given what happened last year.

We spent all offseason trying to fix the issues on defence that allowed the Titans to bully us... and at least some of those improvements might not even be available by the time we play.

We've got some major issues on offence to sort out this week too and it suddenly feels like there's not much time to solve those problems.

I hope Williams is okay for next week because I do not want to see what Henry does to us otherwise. Would love Campbell too but I know that’s probably a pipe dream right now.

^with that in mind, can we sign Earl back for one day so he can call BWill a bitch again and light a fire under him? It seemed to work last year when he was hurt and I’m willing to try anything

Bleh. I’m honestly starting not to really care anymore with all these injuries piling up and kind of just starting to look forward to the offseason

Y'all are so emotional I know it sucks losing tonight but we are 6-3 with a lot of football to go this season isn't over by any means the only top names on IR that will stay there is Ronnie Tavon and now probably Nick Boyle Campbell is coming back Tyre coming back Bwill probably wasn't season ending Averett coming back like we are fine

This game determines our season IMO.

2017 against Titans - loss = missed playoffs (on some bullshit)
2018 against Titans - win = made playoffs
2019 against Titans - loss against them in playoffs
2020 against Titans - ?????

It's like they are taking the Dolphins' place as "honorary division rival." And yes, I'm aware that they were once division rivals before the realignment in 2002.

Correct and we will probably still end the season 12-4 or at worst 11-5, which would get a wild card. In any other division we would have won the division. If we were in the pansy NFC East, we would have already locked up the division.

I get it though - I've been feeling pretty numb generally about this team for 3-4 weeks or so - that's probably at least partly down to the current environment we're in generally but also I'm just not enjoying Ravens football that much right now - it really sucks seeing multiple guys go down every single week and seeing pre-snap penalties (and now bad-snaps) completely undo the good things

it goes back to that old flacco-era gameday thread phrase - "We can't have nice things" - it feels like all the good things this season get tainted by something bad which makes it hard to enjoy the games lol

Lmao i was thinking same lol.. we may need to get earl back fuck this.

NBC announce crew last night said Calais was on IR. Was that confirmed? I didn't see any report on that?

It would make sense if its a 3-4 week injury, which it certainly sounds like. But would also guarantee he misses Pittsburgh game.

Can't you be put on IR for 3 weeks? Don't remember what the IR rules were this season, but multiple people have been put on it to come back not much later.

Correct. IR is a 3 week minimum.

My question was whether the designation was given. If he went on IR, he can't return for the Tennessee or Pittsburgh games, no matter what. If he's not on IR, he can play whenever he's available to play.

It was mostly in regards to some people desiring to possibly see him back for Tennessee and/or Pittsburgh. It seems from all reports its a multi-week injury, which means I wouldn't expect to see him out there on Sunday.

With Fort and BWill's status clearly up in the air, our run defense is probably going to look a lot like the one we saw last night from a personnel standpoint on Sunday against Derrick Henry.

Harbaugh just said Campbell is day-to-day and Brandon Williams ~1 week. Which means Campbell isn't on I/R

Getting Campbell back this week would be huge. Williams doesn't sound likely based on that comment, though.

Nothing is more frustrating than watching Lamar pull something out his bag of tricks and it get negated

This will be a tough game. A loss and the Ravens are on the outside, looking-in.

Time to stop making excuses, every team is injured this time of the year. Titans are arguable just as injured on the OL as the Ravens.

This game will tell me a lot about the makeup of the Ravens. They've gotten some dirt kicked in their faces in recent weeks, health wise and performance wise. Now they are playing a team that humiliated them as a #1 seed, in the playoffs, at home and in primetime. I hope to see an inspired effort....

It looks like Campbell & Williams will be out for this game. How on earth do we expect to stop Henry?

Its not gonna happen. Lamar is going to have to put up big numbers to win this game. He is our only chance.

I think the biggest mistake Roman and the rest of the offensive staff could make is trying to replace Boyle with a TE and run the same offense. It's not going to work. EDC built a track team. It's time to unleash it. Andrews, Brown, Duvernay, Dobbins and Edwards (and Dez&Proche).
