The Effort, The Steelers and The What Even Was That Game?

I dont have much to say except I'm not sure you could have had much more against you and the Ravens still had a chance at the end.

Finished the game with a 3rd string QB, 3rd string C, not even sure we have a RT, 3rd, 4th and 5th string TE, 2nd string RG (albeit Powers has done well through 2 games I think)

At one point we had a guy who's only had 2 walkthroughs with the team playing significant snaps at CB as well as a 37 yr old who's been on the team for like 3 weeks...

I'm proud of the effort and resilience they showed. Disappointed in the loss obviously but not that disappointed given what happened. TBH if you told me it would be that close pre-game I would have bitten your arm off, it just always feels frustrating to be in it at the end and lose.

I can't believe that through the 1st quarter there had been 4 turnovers and 5 total first downs.

The Steelers are trash just like we thought they were. We should have destroyed them in the first game (and would have without 2 redzone turnovers and a pick 6) and the fact this one was close is a pretty damning indictment of how terrible they are.

I hope Buffalo was watching because they better beat up on this Steelers team when they play because they are not good.

Is it just me or is Pittsburgh the team you want Baltimore to play first round of the playoffs? If the Ravens can somehow get that #7 seed and Pittsburgh loses at least once and gets the #2 seed if Kansas City wins out this is a team the Ravens can win. dominated 3 and a half quarters last time and if a couple things this way went the Ravens way they could’ve won. RG3 spotting them 6 points hurts. Trace should’ve started

There isn't much to complain about given our current situation.

But the refs were awful again. There's a decent chance that we would've won if the refs hadn't screwed us over again.

Fucking proud of this team!

not proud of harbaugh conceding multiple times.

marquise finally showed up for one play, really hoping he just needed a spark and that was it.

the Steelers needed to cheat to beat our practice squad and in 2 games they have scored TWICE without a turnover putting them in our red zone.

when we get Lamar back, we need to employ this jumbo package more, but with traditional passing concepts used more on first down

Proud of the effort they showed today. Result isn’t unexpected but they fought hard. Steelers should be embarrassed.

RG3 is not good but I do commend him for hanging in there and taking some shots to try to get something downfield going.

Justice Hill was a bright spot and deserves more opportunities going forward.

OL was awful again. RT is a huge weak spot. Not sure what other options exist (Rodgers, Holden, Phillips with some actual practice time) but I’d be okay to never see Fluker in a Ravens uniform again.

Wolfe continues to be the heart of the DL. I know he’s a PS guy but damn Aaron Crawford is so unathletic. Not too much you can do with our lack of depth in the front 7 today but still did as well as you could hope.

DBs did alright. Started slow but held up well for the most part.

AND MY BOY NICK MOORE WAS GREAT

If the Steelers didn't lay down and get away with stealing 20 seconds and we had enough time for a Field Goal, there's a chance we could have won the game with a Tucker field goal. Score would have been 17-19, and we had a shot at winning if it wasn't for the refs. The Steelers aren't the 11-0 team their record says they are, they barely beat us here, we held them in check and without the Pick 6 in this game we potentially win 14-13 but of course the Steelers would have had a chance to go down the field for a field goal.

There is nobody in the AFC who is on the level of the Chiefs, Steelers have had a cakewalk to their undefeated record much like the Patriots soft walk to 8-0 last year until we punched their so called historic defense in the mouth. Unfortunately, both times we let the undefeated team win and didn't punch them in the mouth to win. I'm proud of how this team competed and almost won the game, it says a lot more about the Steelers than it does us. If we can get healthy and go on a run, who knows what will happen. We just can't let Dalton beat us on Monday.

for me the better and more reasonable "what if" is just...

what if luke wilson just caught the ball like he should have?

Nah I dont think they'd do well against Pittsburgh in the playoffs. Teams who lose twice typically lose a third time. Nothing I've seen this year gives me confidence that they would finally stop wetting the bed against this team.
That said, I'm not talking about playoffs. At this point I just hope they cam win a game.

Definitely didn't expect this answer, but he did do a good job. Didn't think things would go that smoothly.

I wasn't. I was fucking LIVID. Then I was just numb. That has to be top 3 worse ways a team has lost a meaningful game.
Oh I was all those things, but once the shock wore off, and I saw the patriots lose and I knew damn well we would’ve won that game against the giants, it was just pride and relief, I was proud that joe Flacco grew up and was ready to make it happen, and I felt like he was going to do exactly that.

I took so much pride in being the underdogs that scared the piss out of the big bad patriots, and everyone in the league knew deep down that should’ve been the ravens going to the super bowl.

Kyle boller would’ve won this game and that’s facts. That’s how bad rg3 was. Respect the effort bob, but hang em up chief, it’s over.
