Next Up: vs Jags

lol - at least it looks like we'll have humphrey, averett and williams and then hopefully peters and harris can fill out the other 2 spots

but we're in a wretched place in terms of DB health

We also have Bonds who was designated to return and Desir on the PS. Seems we'll be able to fill out at least 5. Would hurt if Peters isn't out there though but at least we won't be trotting 4 out there like last week.

Oddly enough, having Welch out for Sunday really helps the inactives. I know he's a STer but it'll be great to not have 5 ILBs active.

if only that were true - he was part of that titans front that destroyed us in the playoffs last year
Oh yeah I know, was more of a joke than anything because he did have some good plays against us unfortunately. The best I ever saw him play honestly lol.

I definitely think we need to preserve Jimmy Smith if we can because if we can make the playoffs he will be critical. We need Peters and Jimmy at peak form. I’d be surprised if Averett doesn’t play and I also kinda like what I’ve seen from Harris and Bonds had his moments, hopefully he’s healthy.

I'm not sure why Bonds has taken as much shit as he has. Obviously he's not a star, but I thought he held up decently well in his few games for us. People just latch onto that one play where he thought the ball had been dropped and kind of coasted away from the play only to find out it had been caught. Other than that one (and a tick tack PI that should have been called), he's been a feisty little slot guy. I think he'll help.

yeah for sure - might be able to beef up the DL (as well as the CB) and actually have enough players at both of those positions where we've had injury troubles recently

i imagine special teams can survive without welch for a week (or more) - the unit has been pretty awesome this year - we were worried about the loss of jerry rosburg after the nosedive of the unit last year without him but the resurgence has removed all my doubts about chris horton taking over

and he also gives us the flexibility to matchup how we want on the backend because he's comfortable in the slot which means we can put marlon wherever we need to put marlon to neutralise a threat rather than keeping him stuck on a slot guy more than we'd probably like

i was more excited about dorsey over bonds but it's been clear that bonds has been the better corner in his limited playing time

4pm roster deadline has passed and neither Chris Moore nor Terrell Bonds were activated from IR, which bodes well for the WRs on the COVID list to be activated tomorrow and at least some of our injured CBs to play.

Sounds like the CB group will be Humphrey, Averett, Williams, Harris, and Desir. No Peters will hurt.

Also we waived Luke Willson today, so expect Tomlinson to get the COVID callup and an eventual spot on the 53.

Also, poor Geno Stone. He's been on the COVID list for 17 days now, so obviously some lingering effects for him.

tbh I almost kinda want Calais not to play coz it feels like he's just screwing up his recovery by playing

MP is gonna be an annoying guy to be missing if he cant go especially with jimmy already being out

it's just bizarre when you list them all like that

and obviously that list doesnt even include Bonds, Dorsey, Devontae Harris, Tramon Williams etc.

Yep. I REALLY don't feel good about this game.

I was worried as well when Rosburg retired.

btw, Chris Horton was a fan favorite of the Redskins as a rookie back in the day.
