I wouldn't be so sure. Obviously, Hill needs to get healthy or he loses his spot. But Ty'Son didn't really get anything going until late in the game against the 3rd and 4th string D. He didn't play ST until the 2nd half.

I know he looks good but RB is an easy spot to shine in preseason. By no means counting him out but would still have him as RB4 if Hill can get healthy in time.

With all of that, I highly doubt anyone is claiming Williams on waivers, so he should be fine on the PS. Hill provides more value on gamedays as a STer. But if Dobbins or Edwards were to go down, I could see a scenario where he gets elevated from the PS and leapfrogs Hill in the RB rotation. Just not sure he does enough elsewhere to really win RB3 when he's likely just as safe as RB4 on the PS.

She's got the G6 and CGM. Her problem is that she is self conscious - doesn't mind people knowing she has diabetes - but doesn't like the advertisement of it that is the carrying of monitors etc. So no fanny packs and we haven't found a purse or bag that she commits to. She's just at that age, I guess. But the troubling thing is that when she's home, she leaves the monitors laying when she's across the house or upstairs. That's what's frustrating to us. She has the tech, but doesn't commit to using it as intended.
She's still young and self consciousness is one of the redeeming qualities of children in her age group. ^_^

OL: Not as bad as last week but still not all that good. Was hoping to see more push on the right side from the starting unit but didn't see much there. Mekari fared alright. We know he's not a natural T but still somehow looks like the best option on the roster currently. Wanted to see Tyre out there but he was in street clothes on the sideline. On the second unit, Andre Smith remains garbage. Colon seems to have a leg up as the backup C. Schofield turned in a better performance but still looks like he's just eating time with all of our injuries. Sarell is still putting out some shining moments and looks like a good PS guy. Ealy didn't get into the game until very late which seems to indicate he's not in the plans.

ILB: Queen continues to look a lot more comfortable. Welch continues to be a key contributor early on ST so it's going to be really hard for me to leave him off the 53 once I reevaluate. Not much else to write about here.

disappointing that we didnt get to see Tyre - potentially could have seen 4/5 of the starting OL playing together for the first time but apparently he tweaked his ankle on Thursday's practice and they didnt want to risk it

just really frustrating that we didnt get to see anyone who factors into the LG competition play last night... i refuse to believe that Powers is a serious option there

again sarell was interesting although noticed it was almost exclusively at guard this week

with fort going down i think there's your way to get welch on the 53 now - not how you want it to happen but means he goes from bubble to near lock

Updates guess at the 53:

QB (3): Jackson, Huntley, McSorley*
RB (4): Dobbins, Edwards, Hill, Ricard (FB)
WR (6): Brown, Watkins, Duvernay, Proche, Wallace, Bateman*
TE (3): Andrews, Boyle, Oliver
OL (9): Stanley, Cleveland, Bozeman, Zeitler, Villanueva, Mekari, Phillips, Colon, Bredeson
DL (5): Campbell, Williams, Wolfe, Madubuike, Washington
ILB (4): Queen, Harrison, Board, Welch
OLB (6): Bowser, Houston, McPhee, Oweh, Hayes, Ferguson
CB (6): Humphrey, Peters, Young, Smith, Averett, Westry
S (4): Elliott, Clark, Stone, Stephens
ST (3): Tucker, Koch, Moore

Of note, McSorley and Bateman go to IR at which point Levine and Ellis return to the roster.

Last 3 in:
  1. Jaylon Ferguson - Not much changes in the rationale here from last time. I don't think they're done with Ferguson yet and the new PS rules make it likely that we can go heavy at a position until we figure out the true 53 construction at a later date.
  2. Chris Westry - I'm still not 100% sure I see the value personally, but he continues to be in the game early and they're giving him every chance to make it.
  3. Ben Bredeson - I still am not sure that Powers is a legitimate option right now, but more on that below.

First 5 out:
  1. Shaun Wade - I'm not sure I see him making it based on his usage. Was the last CB option in yesterday, even after Warrior. I can't see why a 5th round rookie would only get 9 defensive snaps unless there was some serious risk of him not making it.
  2. Ben Powers - He started and played the first half but I'm still not convinced he's a viable option. I feel like it's much more likely that they try to flip him in a minor trade. Of course, Cleveland has to get healthy, but he and Phillips look like better options at LG.
  3. Ty'Son Williams - He's done well throughout the preseason so far but the ST contributions just aren't there right now. I won't count him out completely but Hill still seems to have a leg up pending health.
  4. Ar'Darius Washington - He's still not entering until the 2nd half but always puts up some good tape. He played a lot more slot CB than S last night and that's an obvious opportunity if Wade doesn't cut it.
  5. Chris Smith - As mentioned last night, we'd be talking a lot more about him in normal years. The numbers aren't in his favor but he's been getting early run in nickel and dime packages and doing well with his opportunities. But he's also playing deep into games so might just be filling a role for preseason.

One note: I left out Boykin this go around in all categories. He needs to get healthy and back into practice/the last game before I can try to figure out what they want to do with him.

Notable potential PS additions:
Ty'Son Williams, Nate McCrary, Ben Mason, Jaylon Moore, Deon Cain, Binjimen Victor, Tony Poljan, Foster Sarell, Aaron Crawford, Jovan Swann, Shaun Wade, Nigel Warrior, Ar'Darius Washington

shaun wade's an interesting one - was always going to be a developmental guy - i think the question is how do you stash him? do you have to i/r him, do you have to carry him on the inactives list week to week or do you risk waivers and the practice squad?

chris smith is interesting in that he has had a very defined role early in the 2 preseason games on nickel/dime and idk that the way jaylon ferguson's been used isnt more indicative of someone who's playing a preseason role - on my 53 that i did before any of the preseason games they both miss out and i still cant really find a way to fit either of them in

In regards to Wade... I'm wondering if they just don't care. If he's not good enough, he's not good enough. Other guys have put the pressure on and he's been the loser in that battle for playing time clearly.

My one thing with Smith is that while he's playing a defined role, it's also partially a DL role and not necessarily just as an OLB. So Ferguson, Hayes, and Oweh are playing late into the game but none of them are necessarily putting their hands in the dirt in the middle of the DL in nickel. It's almost like Smith is playing the role of McPhee more than anything, if that makes sense. Essentially, he's getting run in a defined role but it may largely be because the guys we will actually see in that role on the 53 are getting their 1 or 2 drives in and heading to the bench... and there's no one else to really play that role once they leave.

i can definitely see that for sure - and i guess the other variable there is that calais somewhat takes some of those rush opportunities too

I’m not in full panic mode with the O line since we have guys nursing injuries. However, I am incredibly thankful to have a mobile QB in Lamar. Could you imagine Flacco trying to play behind this line.

Also as people have started doing their 53 man predictions, it's obvious there are going to be some tough cuts.

As a silly side thought, wouldn't it be interesting if the NFL was actually structured where you could have as many people on the roster as could fit under the salary cap?
