The Second Half, The First Half and Yet More Overtime

people were killing Roman again and again this game - and especially on some of those screens (that we didnt execute) but that was the adjustment and ultimately it was those types of plays that pulled us back into the game (that and the running game)

and the defence outside of 2 big plays early managed to adjust as well - yes we didnt get the pressure we wanted but the DBs massively bounced back after the bengals

Marlon and Averett and Tavon played great - tavon got done on the 4th and 9 on the final drive but was otherwise great - clark had a poor game and im pretty sure that deep jefferson TD was on him and he could have done better in the open field vs Cook on his long one (albeit that's tough) but the unit itself bounced back in a major way

Josh Bynes for all-pro! The man has found the fountain of youth.

The rest of the team gets an incomplete grade since all of them were shite at some point, and great at another point.

Finally, interesting that we held Thielen to 6 yards - I don't think that happens very often

except special teams - worst Ravens special teams game for a long while - but hopefully that's the one flukey bad special teams game and we can go back to being the number 1 special teams in the league again

He probably will get claimed but the writing might be on the wall for him as a Ravens even though The Ravens do need somewhat of speedy running back but I guess Freeman could play that role for them if they feel like he's suitable.

it is clear that Freeman, Murray and even Bell have roles in this offence - Williams does not - makes the decision easy for me

Again, the home crowd is a difference maker. If this game was last week, we'd easily lose. I'd like our running game sans Lamar show more consistency. Yes, they got the job done when it mattered most, but the other purple team had its injuries too.

What a blessing to get Josh Bynes back on the squad.

I know Lamar wants to make the big play every down, but he has to start checking down to the RBs when that’s what’s there. Lots of wasted opportunities.

this kind of speaks to that - took longer to adjust to what the defence was giving us than it should but they did eventually get there and if not for a couple of penalties, a kickoff return or a missed cut block that led to a pick - this game might not have been in the balance the way it was

Have to wonder how do The Ravens handle the Tyson Willaims and Leveon Bell situations now. I dont' think Williams had a carry in this game but Bell had some bright spots in this game.
The only time the backs shined was when the Vikings D got tired.

but they were tbf getting ok yards earlier in the game - they werent getting stuffed inside the same way they have previous games

it's just those runs started breaking a little more later in the game

The only teams Lamar still hasn't beaten are Packers, Bears, Saints and Panthers. Which means there's a good chance he's beaten all 31 teams by the end of his rookie contract. Absolutely crazy and further adds to his resume

Hollywood had a quiet day

but then exploded in 4th quarter and overtime again
and despite having a quiet day he ended up with 9 receptions for 116 yards
Hollywood has been a stud

bateman is looking very promising

duvernay has low key been a playmaker and needs more touches.

duvernay i think is being used fine right now - although i think it was on the series where pat had the 4th down TD but there was a motion where and a fake where if they just gave it to duvernay he walks in

but he's showing up big when called upon and offering value in other places - but i dont think we need to up his snaps or anything

but what i really want to see is hollywood, bateman and watkins together - cant wait to see the 3 of them be super dynamic together

oh shit

well brandon stephens gonna have to step up the rest of the way - also more snaps for jimmy smith who we saw a surprisingly little amount today

Elliott on IR really hurts. I just wonder if we have reached a tipping point on injuries where we beat bad teams and will lose to good ones .

Not promising for a playoff run for sure.
