2022 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

I think his contract is tolling to 2023... does that not impact it in any way?

In such rare instances, I am completely alright with deferring to the real life scenario and giving the cap flexibility to the Falcons. That's just me though. These are so uncommon.

I agree, in this situation the Falcons should be able to save the 11m in cap space.

Question about the rule for signing players for the minimum. Would I be allowed to have more than 3 active bids at 0.5 stars (say I bid on 4 players), as long as I only win 3 of them? Or am I only allowed to have three 0.5 star bids at any given time? And is the penalty that all of the bids are nullified, or just the 4th one?

I am completely onboard with this. Can’t the real life Falcons call a conduct detrimental to the team on him and get money back from the contract?

Only 3 active at a time

3 of each grouping period

“Note: Teams are only allowed to sign 3 players at the same position for the minimum amount in initial FA periods (Does not apply to FFA). For example, a team can sign 3 WRs and 3 TEs at .5 Stars in the WR/TE period. Bids made for more than 3 player will be nullified and the team could be subject to punishment. However, teams can sign as many FAs as they wish for more than the minimum .5 Stars.”

This must be where I got confused. I assumed it was per position

Then I would assume you are correct by what was written there
