2022 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

For the depth chart, do I literally just post the current depth chart of the team?

I was surprised to see the Titans not picked yet. I was open to them at both of my picks.

my guess is simply because there's not many picks and negative cap space
the roster's in decent shape but there's not a lot of "offseason fun" involved in that roster i dont think which may have put people off

that being said - was perfect for my 2nd team lol
and with about 6 or 7 teams remaining, they were one of only 2 teams i would have liked left

The New Orleans Saints will have extreme flexibility in getting out of cap hell. We won't keep you to the minimum 1 restructure and 1 june 1st cut. However once you are in the black, you will only be able to place 1.0 star bids in free agency maximum. @Ludy51

Would love to see them being treated to an actual attempt at an overhaul. I just don’t have the talent or time to do it

i was gonna say - might have been impossible to get under cap otherwise given the way extensions are off the table

Can someone quick link me the rules for this again? I’m too lazy to search

exactly. Even GB who is 48m over the cap can still get under the cap without any special consideration.

i havent looked but have you checked whether whoever gets the packers might need it also?

i know they'll likely have some more flexibility than the saints but also might have to gut their entire roster under the game rules (not sure i havent checked myself)...

I absolutely have checked and worked it out. They can even keep ARod with restructuring him and cut a few others including ZDS and get under the cap

Holy shit thank you

if it's up there - some teams have taken their official one down/don't have one with only their 2022 roster on
yes this is very true. I know the Chargers didn't have a 2022 one up. You can use espn or ourlads but you'll have to cross reference with spotrac. Everyone should pay attention to the free agents tab in spotrac.com

It's kind of amazing how much metaphorical cap hell the Saints are in for such a bad team. Really kicked that can down the road and they haven't been making smart moves to get out of it either... hence why special rules were needed.
