2022 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

The Washington Commanders suddenly need a new General Manager. lol. Seems really true to life if you ask me.

Anyway, @Old Bay has been more busy at work than usual and hopes to be able to participate next season, in the meantime I hope someone can take over. @Grim @Sandtown

I need help with the Ravens RFAs too. Should I be checking otc, or strictly staying with spotrac? Spotrac has Brandon Knight listed twice as an RFA and as part of the Ravens roster. Otc has him as part of the roster.

Ty'son Williams is nowhere on spotrac, is he an ERFA? Chris Westry is listed as an ERFA on spotrac, and an RFA on otc.

and this is why spotrac sucks

TB is dangling WR Chris Godwin (19 stars) looking for a 2nd round pick or a slightly lower pick and OG help for the top 20 WR. In free agency, based on past experience in this game, he could easily go for 25 stars.

He is listed on the regular roster because he was waived by the Cowboys on Saturday and signed, but he doesn't have a contract. He will not count towards your roster due to being after roster lock nor as an RFA @SepticeyePoe

Also where are the RFAs and ERFAs listed on overthecap, where is the rollover cap and where is the total dead cap. Sure you can add up the individual players with dead cap, but that's the point and why we didn' change. We'd have to change the SoF sheet to be able to use Overthecap, which we can do for next season as long as we have time.

Brandon Knight was claimed back in October, but decided not to report. Should I ignore him on my roster unless he decides to return to football?

I'm a little confused about your 2nd paragraph, are you saying I should I only use spotrac's free agency designations, even if it contradicts otc? I was looking under the team free agency page on otc.

Basically forget OTC even exists.

right but what's the actual answer - because there's a cap difference of at least 1.5 stars here between erfa vs rfa tender for westry

we know he's an RFA but spotrac saying ERFA so which one should he use...

also what about Ty'son williams who i just double-checked and according to spotrac literally does not exist as a player let alone a contracted player?

not quibbling with the convenience of using spotrac vs overthecap we still need a resolution to those questions

I would still suggest using Wikipedia's rosters (links to all teams at the bottom). Much, much easier to read this way and all teams are updated on the right hand side at the bottom on what type of FA each guy is. Spotrac's FA list is all sorts of fucked up.

@SepticeyePoe - just spoke to mania - use this to solve most of the confusion

knight should be listed on your roster but shouldnt affect your salary cap as he did not report (ravens have his rights should he ever return) - he seems to be listed wrongly in spotrac (and on wikipedia) as erfa but i could be wrong on this one
westry is (as we all knew anyway) RFA
ty'son williams is ERFA

Yeah Knight is obviously a very different case here. Would assume he’s listed as an ERFA because technically his contract expired (and he didn’t get a year of service time) so the Ravens still could retain his rights at the ERFA amount if they so choose.

But overall, not too worried however this one is managed. As long as we get the guys like Westry and Williams right, we’re good.

The Seahawks have multiple tag-and-trade candidates. S Quandre Diggs, back-to-back Pro-Bowler is atop the list. Also, OG Gabe Jackson and DE Carlos Dunlap can be had.

The 49ers have QB Jimmy Garoppolo, DL Arik Armstead, OLB Samson Ebukam and DT Javon Kinlaw available. PM me if interested.
