2022 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

The 49ers are considering trading down from 4.23 for more picks. The Seahawks are considering shopping DT Maurice Hurst. 1 Star salary and 4 years of good tape. Hit me up if interested in either.

Nicholas Petit-Frere has some evident inconsistencies to his game, but has some serious upside. Really don't see him falling out of the 3rd rounnd in the actual draft.

@RavensMania that's a really good range to get NPF - no pressure for him to be ready right away and you get to see if you can fix his pass sets and see if you can find his anchor - if you can you've got a potential starter at LT or RT in the future

Petit-Frere is an interesting one, but definitely worth the shot at this point. Good value for sure for that type of profile. He was my backup to Ezeudu earlier.

Thanks, appreciate the input. I've been sitting on him since the late 3rd and agree with your assessment.

I thought about him as well with my last pick, I am just not sure if he can clean up his sloppy/inconsistent technique, si I passed on him.
Not sure about the real draft, upside yes but I am not sure if teams will bet on that in the late 3rd.

definitely has his inconsistencies but at this point, I'm looking for potential and he certainly has it.

Had some fun with my recent picks...

Joshua Williams is a fun developmental guy and I have some veteran depth in front of him to conceivably give him that opportunity to grow. It's always hard to project small school guys but the athleticism is certainly there. He had some struggles Senior Bowl week but also showed a lot of good things.

Jelani Woods was a guy I've had my eye on for a bit. I panicked for a bit there thinking I fucked up because I knew the Giants could have been going TE based on the depth chart. But Woods is obviously big and fast and he's another guy that I have a borderline day 2 grade on. I'm not sure he makes it out of day 2 in the real draft.

And then for the Browns, I went with the steady Spiller just because I don't really need anything else there. Figured some depth behind Chubb and the 1 year wonder D'Ernest Johnson couldn't hurt. May not be the home run hitter but he's patient with good vision and gets yards which I'll take in a RB3.

@Simba Love the Woods selection. I was between him and Kyle Philips for Seattle. Found it tougher to justify nabbing technically a 3rd new TE, but I was considering using him in the slot. I see him going higher than this.

That was kinda my thought honestly. Been wanting to draft a WR with the Cardinals but the board just didn't fall that way ever. So figured why not add another TE and let him be a mismatch out there in the slot. I've got the blocking TEs already so I could conceivably just let him be a big slot for me.
