Start removing uninspired draft picks from recent drafts? I'm pretty sure there are UDFA's on this team that can offer more then the likes of Correa, Perriman, Kaufusi, Carl Davis etc

The patriots don't care if you were a 2nd 3rd or 4th round pick, it's about what you're showing and all of these guys are showing that they were in actual fact overdrafted.

Sometimes you need to trust your eyes over your hopefull decisions. There are better players out there than a lot of highly drafted ones. It's time to cut these guys and change philosophy and stop hoping that these guys are going to pan out over obviously more talented UDFAs or lower picks. They simply do not deserve a roster spot.

I think perriman and kaufusi are gone anyway just due to the other players at their position whatever happens

Correa might stick but he’s in an open competition that may come down to special teams

Carl Davis I actually think is a good player as part of the rotation but I’d be disappointed if he started taking snaps away from urban and Henry

Time to cut bait in my opinion, whether that means trade or cut. Seahawks and Patriots routinely rid themselves of those guys they know aren’t working out for their teams.

I was still holding hope for perriman but not any longer. Shed the dead weight across the board, it's time.

I agree 100% but then continue with the same in the future. No more 3-4 years of waiting on players to show up. Produce in year 1 or 2 or it's thank you very much, good luck elsewhere. This would assume giving players opportunity early, though.

None of that would happen for as long as Harbaugh is HC. They might cut Perriman this year, maybe Kaufusi and that's it.

I'd like to see players who are decent but caught in logjams traded for late round currency. I believe guys like ZDS, James hurst, buck Allen, nick Boyle, carl Davis, Maurice canady etc could end up getting 6th round picks.

Obviousl don't shop them all and end up losing all your depth, but getting another 2 6th rounders every year or 2 gives you ammo to move around in the 4th and 5th, and trades on day 1 and 2 can net a fuckload of ammo for day 3, and I really like us with ammo in 4 and 5.

Someone I think could give us a massive turnaround is Michael pierce, a UDFA playing at his level and at his contract could net a 3rd from a team who really needs to beef up the run D, his cap hit being the biggest motivator for trade partners.

I don't think any of the 4 you mentioned has a safe roster spot.

Perriman is really going to have to blow people away to make the roster since he has no ST value.

Correa may have a shot because he is a solid ST player, can technically play all 4 LB positions and is cheaper than McClellan. Doubt anything is going to be handed to him though.

Davis was fine as a rotational DL, and is more a victim of being stuck behind BWill, Pierce, Urban and Henry who have all flashed and shown more than Davis at times.

Kaufusi couldn't get on to the active roster even with all the DL injuries last year. Clearly the team doesn't think too highly of him at this point.

Toss Maxx Williams among that list too.

I had been patient with Perriman and Maxx due early injuries stunting their growth, but 3 years of little to no production and little development as well.
Perriman literally hasn’t had a full training camp and preseason yet and now time is up for him.

Kaufusi couldn’t get playing time even after Urban went down he’s probably a lost cause just like Correa ( who they screwed up from the start ) a guy can’t beat out UDFA multiple years.

Front office made a mistake by not trading Correa after year one and just gaining a late draft pick as an asset.

It’s not what we would have hoped for from a 2nd round pick but maxx is clearly our best blocking tight end and while he doesn’t separate well he does at least catch the ball - unless he gets another nagging injury I don’t see him not making the roster - I think Boyle’s got more to worry about vs a special team specialist like Vince mayle and Darren Waller

Thanks for alex collins assholes
Just goes to show another team’s trash is another’s treasure. Sometimes the scheme is just not a fit or the environment is a bad fit. I’m not sure I’d cut bait with all of these guys people are suggesting but I would certainly do it on some if there’s others looking better than they are. It’s hard to complain about the Ravens keeping them here so far because it’s not like we cut someone to keep them who went on to make a name for themselves; however, we do need to avoid doing that just to keep the draft picks
