Week 12 Oakland Raiders @ Baltimore Ravens

Ravens are the 4th best 3rd down defense in the NFL.

As @rossihunter2 indicates in his response - a lot of what is keeping us in the upper tier of defenses is built off of what we did early. We had the excuse of having things start going in the wrong direction when we had to play the Saints and Steelers, but in the past - when we faced a lower tier offense, we dominated.

I was looking for that today and for us to make it somewhat easy for Lamar, but not to be. We are unable to be dominant. Can't pressure the QB, cant force turnovers. Those trends cannot be denied.

What's next? Do we judge them from the 3rd quarter of week 6 until 2nd quarter of week 9?

well when you contrast through week 1-6: we had the 2nd best defensive DVOA...

You are right they don't get turnovers; they also don't give up points or yards which is more important.

Lamar has looked fine but the playcalling has been complete shit. 10 carries vs the 31st ranked run defense. Its like they came out trying to prove Lamar can throw rather than an actual gameplan. Were moving the ball...we need touchdowns

Do you see Carrs numbers today? 9-24 for 97 yards with most on first drive. That IS dominant in today's NFL.
