Random JETS thread...

Well, tonight the Jets start out with their very most formidable opponent this season. Talk about a measuring stick right off the bat. I can't see the Jets winning this game. Too much, too early. I hope for the Jets to keep it close and make it go right down to the wire. 0-1, but they'll regroup almost immediately....

Jets getting whooped tonight

Got yall winning division tho
Man I’m a fan of the Ravens and whoever plays the Niners so I have to root for NY tonight :(

Jets some hoes bruh

There's no way to sugar coat this. The Jets got their asses fucking kicked. It was pathetic in every way imaginable. The defense played like 2021 when the Jets had the 32nd ranked defense. The offense did not play complimentary football. The 49ers were head and shoulders better than the Jets. I thought Aaron Rodgers looked pretty good. However, he was the least of their problems. Robert Saleh is NOT a good HC. I guess I have to confess to that now? Up until this season he had always been dealt a pretty bad hand. Tonight? He had everything he needed and he got thoroughly outcoached. So if Saleh is on the hot seat? All i can say is, he should have seen this coming....

Bunch of new pieces on the OL with a qb who hasn't played behind it. You'll get better and even if you don't your schedule is weak. Niners are also a better team.

But I didn't expect the Jets to win. However, I was dumb enough to think they could have kept it close. They were completely unprepared and crap like that falls on the HC. Saleh has been HC since 2021. Here we are in his 4th season as HC and he's always been given a pass due to injuries ravaging the OL and the QB being the worst in the league by a large margin. I've given him a pass because of players like Zach Wilson being completely incompetent. But not anymore. He doesn't have any more excuses. No major injuries, good QB play, and still just a thorough beat down. Meanwhile, the DEFENSE, the very reason why Saleh got the Jets job, played like shit. This is full judgment year. He either gets us in the playoffs and makes noise or ge gets fired. Simple as that.

Jets won against the Titans, but make no mistake, they looked very shaky in that game. They lost Jermaine Johnson for the season with an Achilles. DJ Reed didn't play. MC II has ankle injury that apparently will be an ongoing iconcern all season. CJ Mosley got a turf toe and of course that will also be an ongoing concern. I'd be surprised if he played Thursday.

The patsies are a team that the Jets should destroy, but I'm not sure I trust the Jets coaching.

I'm just going to put it out there right now...

I think the Jets lose to patsies. Jets could be missing as many as 4 starters on defense Thursday. CJ Mosley (turf toe), Michael Carter (Ankle), DJ Reed (knee), Jermaine Johnson (season ending IR - torn Achilles).

I think the Jets should beat the patsies with ease, but given how poorly the team is playing overall, I've lost confidence. Now throw in the injuries and you can see why...

AR was absolutely AWESOME on Thursday night. I don't want to go overboard gushing, the patsies are terrible, but he was looking to get in the zone. Well, he did that and then some. Great performance and a confidence builder overall.

Look, I would understand the Jets being 2-3 if we had lost our top two QB's like Miami. I would understand being 1-3 if you're the Patriots and your team sucks and you've suffered a barrage of injuries. I would understand that. It's not like I'm unreasonable, but when you have a top 5 defense, a top RB, a top WR, and a HOF QB, you cannot convince me you should be 2-3. Sauce Gardner has very clearly regressed as a football player. He's too handsy and he cannot catch the ball to save his life. The OL has been HORRIBLE including all of the new linemen JD added. The playcalling has been pure GARBAGE. ALL of that ultimately falls on the HC to manage and get through. So I have no problem with this. I like Robert Saleh and I'm sure he'll land on his feet, but the fact is 20-36 simply isn't good enough....
