Next Up: Vs Chargers Wild Card Round

Yes, Happy New Year to all as a new forum member! (It is good to be here.)
As long as we can maintain and sustain our offensive attack with Lamar leading the way, we will beat the Chargers at home. It scared me a little the way our running attack was countered last week in the second half. Our defense will have very little problem with an aging Rivers if we do not have any major let downs by either of our secondary, linebackers, and linemen. An example of a 'let down' would be Humphrey's play against Cleveland. GET YOUR ARSE TOGETHER HUMPHREY, or take him out when he appears lost in coverage. This is the playoffs, no shitty play!

Ahhhhhhhhhh. Guys! We've gotta win this game!!!! I'm so excited. Honestly if we win this game I won't be upset if we lose game 2. But I'm dying to see a game 2. Seriously getting the chance to slay Brady or getting the chance to get revenge on mahomes would be so incredible. I'll be so disappointed to have Rivers end our season early. I think if we get through LAC, we're at least making AFC championship!

one game at a time, one game at a time

Here's some parallels for you guys:
2000 and 2012 Ravens were the 4th seed, as we are now.

2000 and 2012 Ravens had to face a 11+ win wild card team in the 1st round (11-5 2000 Broncos, 11-5 2012 Colts, 12-4 Chargers). Also, like the 2012 Ravens, we'll be facing a wild card team that has a better record than ours.

2000 and 2012 Ravens went through a high powered AFC West offense that were favorites to win (2000 Raiders were 3rd in scoring, and 2012 Broncos were 2nd), and this year we'd likely have to get through Kansas City who are the highest scoring team.

2012 run the Patriots were the 2nd seed just like this season.

And finally, during both runs, the Steelers failed to make the playoffs, just like this season.

I’m really nervous about this game...I might go as far as saying this would be the toughest game for us this postseason (AFC). Mahomes scares me but this chargers team is all around better.

The 1st time around we basically dominated them and it STILL took a 4th quarter Antonio Gates fumble to win the game. Had Tavon not scored that TD I think we lose.

We absolutely HAVE to start scoring more damn points. Every single freaking week there’s so many reasons why we “could’ve” or “almost” scored more points. We have to FINISH drives or we will lose. I don’t think we hold them to less than 20 points this time around. We can not settle for 4 FGs this time like last week. We really really need a good game plan going into Sunday, because we all know the chargers are going to be ready for us. Let’s get Lamar his first playoff W

The fear is real. Still cocky though.
* I apologise for exposing you all to the voice/cadence of the guy (?) on the right *

Everyone in the Media: Make Lamar Throw, he can't beat you passing. *Despite the fact Lamar has shown he can pass the ball very, VERY well.

Not really consistently. 58% completion rate and before last week (I do not think this would have changed since then but it coulda) he had the worst accuracy in the NFL both over 15 yards and outside the numbers so basically the recipe for beating him is do not let him throw it short over the middle or run the ball both of which can be done as the Browns figured out towards the end of the game with their adjustments.

He was right around 58% again against the browns but that included a few throwaways so he was passing equivalent probably to about 65% which is fine

Every QB has throwaways so if you factor out his but not anyone else's than it looks fine, but on a fair grading scale, its still not good, especially when they are daring him to do it

For what lamar Jackson brings, 58% is fine.

Although when considering the small sample size of passing and easy completions we ATTEMPT to give him, it’s less flattering.

If lamar can bring the same threat on the ground, while bumping his completion to about 63% on about 5 more pass attempts per game, we will be unstoppable.

That’s how close lamar is to spearheading an offense that no defense in the league will be able to shut down, if we can add 5 more quality pass attempts per game and lamar completes 4 of them, then we’re talking about a ripple effect that should lead to more first downs converted, more time burned, and more chances to run the ball and break a few with the defense having to be more honest. We are really close to seeing something great here, and I believe next year we will see it.

I think chargers may end up playing 5 wide or even some type of 4wr spread this game.. may even attack our safties this game.. i have us losing, but if we so happen to win, i pray the colts beat texans so that we can play patriots... betting everything we would whoop thrm bitches

It's going to be a good game. Obviously the Ravens will go to the film room and find a way to stop what the Browns.

In the fourth quarter the Browns showed a way slow down our run. I'd like to see how they counter it and think we will find a way.

Im not gonna be a fan if we are running this same offense next yr.. I want to see him become a complete qb, not run some gimmicky offense all year with a bunch of designed for him a game. Im hoping to see him transform into a russ wilson type qb...not a cam newton, a guy who still has accuracy problems

Hopefully the D is fixing their coverage issues this week because Rivers will take advantage (unless they don't fix their protection issues from our first meeting, in which case Rivers will get battered once again).

I definitely want the Pats if we win though. I want to see Brady writhing on the ground and pouting to the refs every time he gets blasted.

Everytime we touch him we will get penalized
