Next Up: vs Commanders

Commanders might be the best team in football right now.

Ravens typically good against rookie QBs but this Ravens defence has more holes than a block of Swiss cheese right now and Daniels isn't a typical rookie QB.

The commanders haven't really faced a sim pressure defence yet this season and notable that the one team that beat them was pretty blitz heavy (bucs in week 1). It has been notable so far, through 5 weeks, that if you can muddy the coverage picture early in the down for Daniels, you can create opportunities for positive defensive plays - while he's playing poised, he's not doing a whole lot beyond his first reads right now. The problem has been limiting explosives from him and that offence.

I think you have to flood the middle of the field with bodies dropping from all over the LoS - force him to sort through some post-snap chaos and see if you can't get him to make some mistakes. But he throws a beautiful deep ball, got to limit those explosive big plays.

Also Terry McLaurin looks so good now that he's been freed from QB jail.

Gonna be a test.

As a Ravens fan, I’m not looking forward to this matchup for the first time in a long time. As a football fan, this should be a great game. Daniels has been a revelation for that team and looks to be the guy that ends up the best from this class so far. Deep ball is so pretty.

yes, this game is going to be a real test, but I believe our defense will come to play and we win this game.

Who is calling this game?

Lamar has to win these type of games. Young streaky hot NFC team. It's gonna be tough af, but Lamar has to find a way to win it.

While Mahomes is vulnerable, Lamar needs to take his place. He can do it.

The teams the Commanders have beaten are a combined 6-14 (even if you want to discount the games they played against the Commanders that still puts them at 6-10 so still not great). I am not really willing to say beating up on below average teams makes you the class of the NFL.

Their QB is solid and playing smart football. Their run defense is terrible. 34-24 Ravens give me the points and the over on whatever they set Henry's rushing yards to be.

Yeah, I’m around plenty of Commando fans and for the obvious reasons they’ve been super humble for a long time, kinda felt sorry for them. lol. A whole new ball game now with the new owner, coach and QB all of which seem to having them headed in the right direction. Gonna be tough for sure, but I think we can beat them handily.

This has the potential of being the game of the year and potentially a SB preview. There you go, I said it.

We win this, and we have a chance to win the rest of the way.

Romo & Nantz. I kind of assumed that when CBS protected this game from being flexed, this was who we were getting. Now to figure out who the ref is.

How is Romo going to manage to talk about 'Patrick' for 3.5 hours during this game?

"Oooh. I don't know Jim. These are the type of guys who are fighting to be #2 behind Patrick." "Daniels looked like Patrick on that play, Jim." "Lamar and Andrews have a connection like Patrick and Travis".

A few suggestions - not that he'll need them.

We're about to get Lamar'd by a rookie...

Not for nothing, but boy has time flown since that Raiders loss. I remember a certain poster (wise beyond his years) saying game at a time. Now look at us. 3 straight with a chance to go streaking.

Orr already failed the Bengals test. I need to see how he responds at home against a QB who basically has Lamar speed with just as talented of an arm.

Offense will prolly have to score 40+ again just for us to have a chance.

finally. We almost never get Romo unless we are playing the Chiefs.

Really wish we kept a veteran coach or brought in a veteran coach even as a defensive consultant to help Orr out. This would have been a perfect spot for Belichick or even Rex Ryan. Bring them in to help Orr out in his first season as Defensive Coordinator, I think he'll adjust and our defense will play much better in the second Bengals game but yeah, compared to the Bills, I mean yeah they don't have the talent at receivers the Bengals do.

As for Washington, I don't know what it is but our team always comes prepared against the NFC team. Before the collapse against Dallas, we held them to 6 points for most of the game. I think we will play very well against Washington, I do think it could turn into a shootout again but defensively Orr can not let that happen.

IDK, Orr can’t communicate for the guys on the field. They need to get on the same page back there.
Maybe bring Weddle off the couch, he’d get ‘em straight. ^_^
