I get Burrow is playing well, but stats are inflated. 800+ of his yards and 9 touchdowns are against Baltimore. Over half of those yards are to Jamar Chase and 6 touchdowns with all the most broken secondary in the NFL.

Chris Simms saying the Bengals outplayed the Ravens and should've won the game a month ago is absurd. Ravens had more yards and more points. What did the Bengals do that made them "outplay" Baltimore. Both teams' defense are shit, but only one gets credit for being shit.

Plus, they benefited from getting only 3 penalties, compared to Bmore's 11.

Lamar Jackson is amazing. The offense tonight was Steller in the second half, props to Monken for adjusting. I really hope we win a Super Bowl, Monken is definitely gone after this year.

Side note, this defense is an abomination. Legit this eclipses 2015 for the worst Ravens defense I've ever seen. They're so bad with their zone discipline and suffer so many breakdowns. It seems that they just don't see to understand where they need to be on the field.

Considering how the game ended, I am not really sure it is fair to be complaining about penalties being called or not called.

Luckily for us, Lamar & co. are that good , they can pull this off an maybe get us there 9-4. There is still a solid chance this D can get it together down the stretch. Pierce/Mads/Jones are pretty fierce as a trio when they are healthy together. Hump & Hamilton having great years, just need to get the right combo around them.


I do see the Ravens actively searching for that combo on that back end. It's been a shock to see both Williams and Jackson unplayable and Stephens is not going to fix getting turned around. I'm asking myself if the answer isn't:

CB: Marlon/Wiggins/White/Maulet
S: Hamilton/Stephens/Washington

Maybe this mini bye and Hamilton's injury let's them start to toy with that.

I know sometimes Marlon gets burned in random games in random situations even when the Ravens defense was #1. But I will say this about Marlon, when the game is close, he is always near that ball and makes big plays.

If there’s a positive in the poor secondary play I think it’s helped Marlon to mature and take more of a leadership role.

Id rather keep stephens in that have maulet out there. We were using maulet to blitz alot with mac, havent seen it really since he came back..

Maulet's a backup/rotation guy no matter where they line up Stephens. Hump/Hamilton/washington/Maulet all can rotate at slot to give different looks.

I'm not so sure Monken will be hired as a head coach and I believe teams will prefer a younger coach.

Positives

Lamar is the best player in football.

Lamar is shredding the concept we can't play from behind.

Our offense is becoming extreme Chiefs like where it doesn't matter what happens, they find some magic to beat you.

The defense showed in multiple plays they can be good. The talent is still there, they just need to get organized desperately. They gave up a ton of points but at least for the first time in awhile there was at least 10% of the game that looked good on their end.

This will not be a good defense, but I believe they can possibly get to like a 16-20 overall defense by years end if Kyle's injury isn't too bad.

The Lamar detractors are really reaching these days. Well he only had a perfect rating because he threw it 10x, you say he threw it 19, they’ll say well it wasn’t 20. His efficiency is always insane.
