The Defence, the Turnovers, and the Tucker

Deja vu.

For the 6th year in a row, we've played the same game against the Steelers. No matter how good we are, or they are, we're always in a slugfest. Something always conspires to undo this offence.

3 turnovers.

2 missed FGs.

12 horrible, drive-killing penalties. Especially on offence.

Offence couldn't do anything, except on the 2 drives where they had to have it.

Won the game on the 2pt try last week. Lost the game with a horrible 2pt try this week. Wtf was that playcall??? So good in most situations, but always failing in high leverage situations.

Somehow we lost this game while conceding zero TDs with this offence...

The facts remain the same. The only team that can beat the ravens are the ravens. And maybe the Steelers... We've lost 8 of the last 9 against the Steelers and haven't scored 20 points against them since 2020.

Winning is hard when you lose the turnover battle 1-3 and miss 2 field goals.

When you lose by 2 points, every single one of those mistakes looms large.

Especially when the opposition didn't score a single TD.

The playoffs and the Steelers are linked in terms of what makes our team choke. We still failed the test today, I have 0 faith in this team . They are awful

We're just not that good. Everyone can laugh all they want but it's no more complicated than this. The players and coaches are mentally weak. The players are undisciplined. The coaches are pretty dumb. Until something changes, playing the Steelers or Cheifs will be a loss before the 1st snap.

FUCK THE REFS! If this game had been called down the middle and the refs called the missed holding penalties, the missed DPI and dont fuck up that "interception" call we win this game but instead those fuckers had to put their thumb on the scales and gift a shitty team the win. Sure it would've been nice if Tucker made those 2 missed FGs but you can't win with the refs interfering that much in the game

On a note outside of the game itself this is really bad for Lamar getting his 3rd MVP. Frustrating because that INT was complete bs (or at least it being considered an INT on Lamar is bs), but between the pedestrian game and falling to the 5 seed its going to be problematic for getting those votes. Basically have needed the 1 or 2 seed to be MVP in the past decade and meanwhile Allen has a chance to beat Mahomes which is going to get him a lot of consideration and the Lions absolutely stomped today, with Goff having insane numbers. The Ravens basically need to somehow pass the Steelers in the division, and ideally get close to the 1/2 seed for him to get that MVP.

Just fucking kills me watching Lamar put it all on the line every week and some new bullshit pops up

Don’t get me wrong. This was probably his worst game of the year, this or Las Vegas anyways, but in no universe should that fucking wheel to Hill end in a pick. And then Zay drops that pass right over the middle while Lamar is desperately trying to keep it alive.

Easily the defenses best game of the season, pressure was constant and unrelenting. Oweh looked every bit the first rounder we drafted him to be. Stephens needs to be cut he just isn’t it and Orr needs to stop thinking he’s our #1 corner every week.

Tucker is done. It kills me to say it but the GOAT is in his head and I don’t think he comes back from it. Not with any reliable consistency anyways.

I’ve said my piece on the refs plenty but they didn’t force early movement or too many men on the field. It’s simply unacceptable to be this deep in a season and still getting double-digit penalties every week.

These guys can't win close games with all these penalties on offense and missed kicks.

Tucker missing those kicks makes that drive not a game winning TD
