The Defence, the Turnovers, and the Tucker

Unfortunately it seems like a recurring theme.
And will you be touching on Tucker’s crucial misses or is he absolved of responsibility, like Harbaugh, in your eyes?

I remembered the good old days of Sam Koch faking a hold on a conversion to make it a 2pt one, just to rub it in their faces. Rapist 3 INT, 2 fumbles.

Ehhhhh.....

And what it did was lead to him being the odds on favorite, when it looked like Dallas might actually be the one seed. The problem is you have to actually finish and the last thing voters saw in a tight race is him being bad.

This race is oddly similar except Detroit doesn't have a final gauntlet to really look bad against. Here is Goff's path to have the MVP and it is not that unreasonable of one (note I actually do not expect this to happen but it is a pretty reasonable path). They are going to beat up the Colts, and then 2 divisional games, and there will likely be great numbers against the Packers because their defense is quietly kind of bad. Then its going to be like last where the December 16th matchup against the Bills, provided Allen wins today, will basically be "winner gets MVP". That game might even lock up home field in the NFC, or possibly when they beat the Bears again the next week, at which point, like when Lamar rested the last week of the season, people will just consider the race done and the final 2 weeks pointless.

I do not think that it will play out that smoothly but it is not an unreasonable path because Detroit does not have a gauntlet. If you asked me to pick I would bet on Allen having about a 60% chance if he wins today but that still leaves a 40% chance of something else happening.
So again, he had a brief window where he was a betting favorite (with MANY media outlets having Lamar as the mid-season MVP winner) and it didn't actually lead him to the MVP trophy?

You know who was the odds on betting favorite for CPOY? Like, overwhelmingly so? I don't care if people bet on Dak to win the MVP when most people still don't even think Lamar should have won MVP when he VERY handily won it.

So, going back to my original point- beating up on bad teams didn't win Dak his MVP trophy.

At this point, it's not really relevant to the thread (Ravens vs Steelers) and nothing is moving the needle on this conversation for me, so I'll leave it at this- I don't see Goff winning and I think the race between Allen and Jackson just got a lot tighter than a lot of Ravens fans would like.

Why didn’t we try an onside kick ? What does it matter if we don’t get the ball ? we still had 3 timeouts
The issue is that sets the Steelers up for a short field on a day where Boswell had great range. If the Ravens fail to convert, they're life is A LOT harder with a likely FG happening.

I'm guessing Harbs felt confident the defense could get the stop and save us some field position.

Did we get an update after the game on Roquan’s pussy?
