Next Up: Bye Week

lol I don't think anybody was worried about getting replaced by Shanahan in 2014. He had just been fired from an offense that wasn't particularly special in Washington (after the RGIII debacle) and his track record as a coach wasn't overly spectacular at that point.
I watched these games live (from fedex field) and have to tell you considering the talent that was on the team, they did pretty well. Kyle's scheme was very good back then. Wide receivers were running wide open, but Rex Grossman was missing the receivers left and right. It was better under RG3 and Cousins but still I wouldn't call them franchise qb's so it's difficult to evaluate the offense at the time. He did improve the team tremendously from the preveious regime under Zorn. I'd say it was obvious that Kyle's scheme was a good one and with the right QB it would succeed. As a skins fan at the time, I would hope they would have hired Shanahan when Mike retired.

All these other coaches are preaching to fuck up the guy across from you. I hope when we see positional coaches in a more Ravens-centric episode we see some of that energy. I remember some coach saying "if 99 comes in that A-gap, FUCK HIM UP" and I smiled.
That's not Harbs. He is too busy trying to be best buds with players and saying that lame-assed slogan of 'Who's got it better than us.....noooooo-body!"

When I played ball my coach was like Tomlin but on steroids. He used to yell, scream, and bite his bottom lip when he was pissed at the team for underperforming. Every game he would tell us to: "Kill everything that is not wearing your jersey!" Damn, I loved that cat. That's why coaches who have that type of personality and temperament such as Tomlin and Campbell resonate with me.

Yeah, yeah. I'll never forget or forgive this. Fuck him and that absolute BS. Just saying as a player.....
1. Thank god we won so we didn’t have to argue that shit in oblivion
2. Enough time has passed, im ready to admit Cortez Allen was catching Jacoby anyways

I actually like the slogan honestly lol. I don't think as a fan base we see everything in regards to John Harbaugh coaching style though. Harbaugh may have changed a bit over the years from the time he first coach the ravens as he's probably not as prideful as he once was but I doubt he doesn't get into players face and even use choice words at times. The thing is I don't think Harbaugh the type of coach that want such things to be shown or even bought to light because he's just not that type of coach . This why you probably see more of Mike Tomlins on Hard Knocks and very little of John Harbaugh. He just not that type of guy and likes to be private .

I agree! No, we don't see everything but what we do see, is what he shows us. In his interviews, pressers, and the lockeroom. The Harbaugh I like to see is the one that shows his face after a horrific loss. You can tell that he is pissed with that scowl on his face and that he doesn't feel like answering stupid questions. That's the Harbaugh I'd love to see more regularly.

So I’ve had to see this over and over again, but you know what, Lamar has over 30 total TDs and 3 INTs and we have 5 losses. So that also shows we’re historically underperforming with a QB playing that well too.

I am hoping for a couple of things over this bye:
1. I hope we figure something out for Tucker. Sometimes you need 3 points to win the game and we can not depend on him whatsoever.
2. I hope we can find a decent kick returner because Wallace looked horrible.
3. I hope that some guys like Pierce, KVN, Bateman, and Mitchell are back at full strength and we stay healthy.
4. I hope the Browns kick the living snot out of Pittsburgh.

Harbaugh used to be criticized for being too hard on players, putting foot in their asses, pushing the CBA limits on practices, etc.. While I’m sure he’s mellowed some over the years, he’s hardly what anyone would consider a “soft” coach. I do think he’s learned that relating to players on a personal and spiritual level is a valuable tool to promote team unity.

Well Lamar has 29 passing tds over 13 games, so he doesn't make the list. It's a stupid metric, why the fuck do you care?
Look at the team's reddit that he posted. Don't let him tell you otherwise. He enjoys losing his mind with anything related to the Bengals. He's a glutton for punishment.

Whoa, just saying we probably should have a better record than 8-5 with how well our QB has played is why

I mean even if we count total TDs instead of just passing TDs it’s 8-4 thru 12 games which isn’t that far off the 9-3 Rodgers has a couple times. 4-8 is massively behind that number though.

It is concerning though that the defense has been great the past 3 games and now the offense has lost its way.

If we dont slaughter the Giants after the bye I'm going to very concerned.....

I think the offense will be ok, they’ve played some harder defenses. Get right game out of the bye, playoffs are all that matters
