Next Up: Bye Week

I understand everyone's stance on both aisles of wanting someone brought in, but I don't get this entire Tucker is at the end of his career thing. Adam v and Stephen g (the two greatest kickers I can think of without spelling there last names proper) both had similar seasons at this point in time and went on to play 10 & 5 (respectively) all pro level seasons. He just turned 35 2 weeks ago, he easily should have AT LEAST 2-3 years left in him. He's a kicker who's never been injured not a RB
Yeah, I think this is where people are mixed up when there is concern expressed about his performance lately. I don't want him released, that's crazy, and he's earned the team's loyalty, but say he misses his first attempt today, what then? Then he misses another at some point? There's no one behind him we can trot out there to MAYBE do better. I'm shocked that people are willing to just ride this train to the the last stop with Tuck as our only option. Any other position on the team, if a guy is whiffing on tackles or dropping the ball or fumbling or whatever, many of us would be clamoring for giving the next guy up a chance. There's no next up with Tuck and, for me, that's a dangerous cliff to be standing on when we put so much emphasis as a team on our K. I just don't get the mindset that people seem to be willing just to concede the season based on a K's legacy rather than giving the rest of the team a safety net if this continues to spiral out of control.

I think it's pretty simple. It's more likely that a HOF kicker fixes the mental issues he's experiencing than it would be for a guy sitting on the couch all season to come in and be the answer. It would be different if Tucker was getting weak, or over the hill physically, that's obviously not the case.

I think you're still missing the point, but we'll just have to agree to disagree.

It's not that they don't give him the opportunity to fix it, it's that if we're in a game where we are being held out of TD's and he's continuing to struggle, and missing after missing, we've got literally no one behind him other than Roquan going out there. I'm being facetious, but the point is the same: we're hitching our wagon to the hope that Tuck gets it straightened out.

We need to bring back old school football, thats why tucker sucks now. Back up Qb holds, giant neck roles for LBs, single bar mask for kickers, smoking on the sideline( Zyn is acceptable, Love you Baker), and onside kicks were unannounced.

And a yearly 60 minute video cassette of "NFL's greatest HITS" with wall to wall grade 3 concussions played in slo mo to Beethoven's 5th.
