I would like to issue a self-correction. Since rosters have been locked since Feb, I have had a hard time finding the former numbers for Griffen's contract. So I would actually be taking on 11 stars. I don't know how much @Dom McRaven would be saving though. So let's say close to it? Idk.

when rosters are locked, it's just about the players that are on the roster. When players are traded it is based on the current numbers. Everson Griffin's base salary is 6.4m so he will count 6.5 stars. (not sure where you are getting 11 stars from?)
