Next Up: @ Texans

“Baltimore ranked 26th in the NFL in EPA per dropback on defense through Week 9. Since Week 10, the Ravens rank first.”

Perhaps we owe young Orr an apology. We won’t fire him just yet
I mean he does have cam to help! Also we havent played a single good offense yet.

It was the safety adjustment putting Hamilton back with Washington and benching Marcus that was the key change . It’s transformed the secondary in a very positive way .

I like our chances in this game. Lamar loves good weather and that is not going to be a factor at all. I think the Texans are more banged up. They have also already clinched their division a really can’t improve their seeding too much, so I don’t seeing them pulling out all the stops and playing reckless in this game. They can’t afford any more injuries. However, they are no pushovers, so we better not come out flat and give them any turnovers.

Obviously that was the move that put it all together, but the breakout of Washington and the growth of Wiggins also get big callouts. The tra'White trade helped too. Half a season of adjustments to get it right and now they are taking it to the next level with turnovers.

Also see the OLine growth. Took them about a month to settle into their lineup and start gelling as a solid unit, but I think this Steelers game was a major step forward. Second time now they have dominated a good front both in the run game and keeping Lamar clean (Chargers).

Then there's the ST's. Those ~15 players we lost in the offseason were felt the most on the 3rd units, tons of depth guys. Coupled with that awful Tucker slump we didn't win the ST battle all year until the Giants. Now we won it again against a very good Steelers ST.

All three phases have now sorted their offseason rebuild issues and this team looks absolutely ready to rock.

We might have put the wheels back on the bus at just the right time. But I still worry about stalling. It has gotten to the point that it's not just us talking about it, but that Tom Brady even brought it up on air during the game Saturday. He was stupefied by it and said he couldn't understand what happens if its the coaching or performance, but that it just happens where we change from something we're doing good at inexplicably and are just lost. He said this in the context of us being ahead and Pittsburgh looking for it's way to respond by us changing what we were doing. I think we had come out throwing on 3 downs for a 3 and out and him wondering why we do that series with Henry's previous success. Anyway, I hope we don't beat ourselves in that way. We have a chance to still win the Division - which is remarkable, to me. Slim chance, but a chance.

I think Pittsburgh loses to KC.

Thought Orr would turn it around but no way in hell did I see Marcus continuing to play like shit to the point of benching

It's really not a slim chance at all. We need to win out and the Steelers need to lose one game. We can also get in if we both lose a game, however the game the Steelers need to lose would be vs the Bengals and we would need to beat the Browns.

I think we end up winning the division, which ironically could give us a more difficult path, but atleast we would get bragging rights and a home game.

Give it another year or two he might be a Head Coach. Especially since it seems we have figured out the issues with our defense and have gotten much better defensively.

If I’m not mistaken we’re the favorites to win the AFCN.

I agree, I think the Chiefs stomp the stillers.

Yeah, I forgot their loss to Philly. I guess I was more dwelling on what the chances seemed after we lost to the Squeelers the first time around. We definitely have a really good chance of winning it after all.

I'm still a cynic tho when it comes to us pulling a rabbit out of our hats to make things more difficult for ourselves... ;)
