I was feeling this way initially but after thinking about it. If they get in they’re playing the Bills. If they happen to beat them, they’re playing KC. If they happen to knock them off, then that is when we’d have to potentially play them and I feel more confident beating Cinci again then beating KC.

NFL cocked this up massively in terms of making it competitively fair...

do steelers really care more about seeding than staying healthy? probably not...

you force the ravens to play their starters, but also maybe disadvantage them in the playoffs by potentially allowing their opponent the ability to rest starters in week 18

dumb...

chargers know whether there's any point playing their starters by the end of the steelers game too...

Yeah, agreed. Pitt can basically rest their guys and are very likely to play us in the wild card round with a week of rest and potentially a week of game planning against us

Honestly, it's a fucking outrage
 
As a fan it’s great that we get the chance to lock up the division at home with a win, that’s always nicer than just passively receiving it when someone else loses.

As someone who wants to see this team have the best chance to succeed this is absolute BS scheduling
 
If we are playing Saturday, does this guarantee our Wild Card Game will be the following Saturday, or could we still play Sunday?

You’re not wrong, I went through this in my head as well, that would give us a championship game in Baltimore and I’d like our odds.

I instantly thought the same. I did some research from last year. Steelers played us week 18 on Saturday, but ended up being scheduled for the Sunday slot in the wild card(even tho they ended up playing Monday due to inclement Buffalo weather lol)

I think if the Ravens play Pittsburgh, it will most likely be the Saturday night game, as they will both be on an even playing field in terms of rest. Then again, it’s the NFL and they don’t really give a shit about it anyway lol
